Congratulations and enjoy!! H and I are on this cruise & thought about putting in a bid, but we're trying to keep this one as cheap as possible since we have the Oasis cruise on 12/12 with our son & his GF, so we'll be spending all our money then, lol

Still waiting to hear about my Freedom cruise which also leaves on Friday but cabins still have not been assigned.  there are 12 one bedroom grand suites unassigned

We got a post card from the casino people offering a free cruise thru the end of the year.  Wife gambles very little on each cruise.  Saw a 4 day on Independence out of Port Canaveral.  It was for an interior.  So, I called and asked how much an upgrade to Balcony would be.  They said about $100/person.  I said yes.  When they sent me the confirmation, not only had they comped the interior but also the upgrade to the balcony.  Paid only the port taxes and gratuities.

Our upgrade bid last month for the Ovation out of Alaska for 7 nights got us a 2 bedroom GS for about $500/person.  Great, great trip and suite experience.

The same company that does the upgrade bids for Royal does them for MSC.  Last week we scored a Yacht Club balcony for 4 night for a couple hundred per person.  So, I am loving this bid thing.

So, about two weeks ago, this Independence cruise allowed me to bid.  I checked with fake bookings to see how many suites were available.  Only the 1 Bedroom GS had any real supply.  They allowed me to bid on 4 suite types all the way up to Royal Suite.  I bid about $40 over each minimum.  Yesterday, I noticed that all bids had 'expired' except for the 1 bedroom GS which is still 'pending'.  This is how my prior two successful bids behaved.  I had bid $210/person.

This seems to all be happening much earlier than my prior two bids.  Indeed, it almost seems as tho they make several 'runs' thru the bids and that there is not simply one final, highest bid decision.

So, here is to hopefully actually getting a GS for $210 up from a free casino cruise.

When does your cruise leave?  Waiting on my Freedom cruise which leaves on Friday.

There seems to be some movement on the Freedom cruise on 10/25.  My bids for GS and 2 br GS have expired and they will not let me bid more.  My JS is still hanging in at just over minimum.  All the GS/2br GS still show open, but I guess I'm out of the running...

There doesn't appear to anything happening for the October 22nd at this moment.

My wife thought so, LOL. I am driving her crazy with RoyalUp stuff and she says we are not going to get Star Class and I need to forget it.

With a pending locked bid I would say you are sitting good. I think human nature is to wait it out and not feel like you are bidding against yourself and up the bid. I am sure not going to bid more now.

Espn:  Did anything happen with your bid(s)?  My GS is still expired and my JS still sits at PENDING and non-modifiable after almost a week.  I sail on this Saturday.

No nothing has happened with my bids, both are still pending and can be modified. I have changed one of them several times in the last couple of days to see if anything would happen but no luck. At this point I am over stressing about these bids. We are in a 2 BR GS and are totally happy with that. Now I am worried about the covid test Friday, LOL.

Your JS bid will probably be taken, at least being pending and locked is a good sign, but it will probably be Wednesday at the earliest before they tell you. Good luck.

We just received the email that our bid was accepted for our Oct. 25th sailing on Freedom.  Yahoo! 😀 We had a JS and bid just over the minimum for a GS.  It was the only bid we made.  They've already updated the cabin # on the app and the set sail pass, but the luggage tags and e-docs haven't been updated yet.  So excited!  Good luck to everyone bidding.

Does anyone know what Offer Received means? My RoyalUp offer doesn't say pending or expired, just "Offer Received." Is this normal for offers they are not even considering?

I think you need to click into it to see the status.

So that's where my GS went :).  Maybe I'll get your JS since that's the only one of my bids still pending...   Congrats on the upgrade!!

When I did I mock booking earlier today (before I received the bid acceptance email) there were 16 of the 22 GS's still available, and there were about 25 (of 90) JS's still available.  Fingers crossed for you and a JS!

I think I'm driving my husband crazy with all this talk of bids and upgrades!  He'll just be happy to get onboard.  Still lots showing, but since I had an aft view balcony, I think the best I can do is maybe a JS.  Didn't make big bids - like you, just over minimum.  After the last 18 months,  I'll sleep in staff quarters if it means being on the ship!!  Thanks for the well wishes, I'll update when (or if!) i hear from Royal...

Was able to check in today (45 days).  Got an email for Royal Up.  Since it's a few day cruise from Tampa, we booked a guarantee balcony.  Was offered $30 pp to bid on a regular balcony.  Did a mock booking and saw no balconies available. I don't like the idea of Royal Up for this since we cannot choose our own cabin.  Just going to stick with guarantee.

Wouldn't do guarantee on a longer cruise though.  Always pick our own balcony cabin then to get location, etc that we want.

So - still not update on my 23OCT2021 Odessey bid for Royal Up.  A week now since my GS bid expired and my JS bid remained at PENDING but became locked as far as the ability to Modify or Cancel.  On one of the FB groups for the sail date - appears GS's wins got assigned yesterday and one person commented they got their JS accepted - I just continue to wait patiently (not really) wondering if the inability to modify at this point is a positive indicator...

Locking the ability to update doesn't really indicate good or bad news these days.  Some have had them locked only to receive the 'you didn't win' email.  Others have won.

I wouldn't give up hope, though.  Some have been notified as close as the 2nd day out from sailing.  Hope you get it!  🙂
