Rare cruisestitch Posted February 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2019 (edited) From today's Captain's Club email Yes, I know they don't have to give us any extra points, but it does seem a bit, well, cheesy to me 🙂 BONUS POINTS OFFERTo celebrate the launch of our new Book Now, Pay Later program we're offering Captain's Club members, Classic and above, an exclusive bonus point opportunity. Book your flights through Flights by Celebrity between February 26 and March 12, 2019 and receive 10 Captain's Club bonus points*. Terms and conditions: Captain's Club Member Air Offer ("Offer") applies to new individual bookings for air travel made via Flights by Celebrity. Offer applies to air travel made via Flights by Celebrity between 2/26/19 and 3/12/19. Captain's Club Members ("CC Members") are eligible to receive 10 Bonus Club Points when booking air travel for booked sailings where air is available with Celebrity Cruises. Bonus points apply to each CC Member with a Flights by Celebrity booking. Limit one offer per CC Member per sailing. Club Points will be added to CC Member's account within 30 days after conclusion of sailing and flights. Valid membership number must be provided at time of cruise booking. Offer applies to residents of US and Canada only. If multiple Flights by Celebrity bookings are made between 2/26/19 and 3/12/19 the bonus Club Points offer will be applied to each of the air bookings as long as each Flight-by-Celebrity purchase is made for different sailings. Changes to an air or cruise booking may result in removal of Offer. Guest must complete the sailing with Celebrity in order to receive the Club Points. Offers and prices are subject to availability, cancellation and change without notice at any time. Celebrity Cruises reserves the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions at any time without notice. miched Posted February 27, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2019 Those extra ten ten points could be the little extra that you need to reach the next level before your upcoming cruise. We were about 10 points away from Elite before a 14 day cruise. This was also shortly after the conversion to the current point system. Being Elite would have really been nice on that cruise because it was before they were offering drinks packs as a perk. After earning Elite level we have always had a drink pack. When they offer a Credit Card that earns cruise points you will know that the end is near for the Captain Club as we know it. Happy cruisng 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
WestLakeGirl Posted February 28, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2019 (edited) No mention of a credit card that gives Captain’s Club points in any communication . Are you trying to start a rumor? Lastdance Posted February 28, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2019 My little experience yeilds that this only happens when fares are higher...so, I am speaking about my own experience...but if it works for you...great!

Happy cruisng 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅 I believe that was meant as a rhetorical comment, not a rumor. Somewhat like 'when the sky is falling you will know it's time to haul yer buns away'. Perhaps. goofysmom99 Posted February 28, 2019 #9 Share Posted February 28, 2019 I just checked their prices for flights for two newly booked cruises.....they seem high so I guess I'll be using miles (thanks to a credit card).
wendychloecruiser Posted February 28, 2019 #10 Share Posted February 28, 2019 So why does this only apply to residents of North America?
4774Papa Posted February 28, 2019 #11 Share Posted February 28, 2019 I am not worried about getting to Elite plus, the benefits are not that much greater than Elite.

Ereggae Posted February 28, 2019 #13 Share Posted February 28, 2019 I got a Captains Club Newsletter e-mail mentioning Flights by Celebrity will be starting a new program where you can book flights now and pay later. Will probably be more costly.

From Chicago to Fort Lauderdale!

Ereggae Posted February 28, 2019 #16 Share Posted February 28, 2019 Thanks for the confirmation Pier290. Good to know it works. Do they just add to the bill and you continue to pay through final payment? Is this Economy only or is First/Business Class included?
Cruisin4ABruisen Posted March 3, 2019 #17 Share Posted March 3, 2019 I didn't get emailed this offer -- is there any way for me to redeem it? I have a cruise upcoming and could use the extra CC points.
