Port Everglades Facial recognition

We just disembarked from the Sky P. On Saturday. When we got through the luggage collection area, everyone was directed to 4 lines of facial recognition cameras. You looked at the yellow light and the screen lit up green and you were good to go! No passport to show, no stop at the C&I desks. Not sure what indicated some people fbeing told to go to another line. Maybe declaration?  We have Mobile Passport app and completed the questions prior to leaving the ship, but that didn’t seem to make a difference.

The Sky cruise did not have it. We had the medallions. You do two quick stops. One when you finish the baggage check and one before you go to board. You need your passport also. If they do not like the picture you supplied, they take another. It was very fast. Did the Celebrity Edge with facial recognition. That was fast.

They were talking about getting off the ship, not boarding the ship.

Miami & Ft Lauderdale has it,  Not Tampa yet.  On our cruise June'19, we all had to wait almost 2 hrs, outside  the Miami terminal before getting on ship, so they could set it up.

But when we came back it was fast & wonderful.
