I just read about your daughter.I sincerely hope that she will be fine very soon

Thanks Len. It could  have  been  so much  worse so we're  grateful.  Twelve weeks  in a  huge  collar is better  than  surgery .

P&O (UK) have suspended all sailings until the middle of October.  I assume that Princess, Carnival, Cunard etc will follow suit.

Carnival will run out of cash  at the end of 2020. Things are getting tight. You  might lose your $190 !

I appreciate  your concern but that is a risk I'm willing to accept.

After taxes, the loss would be less than $190.

Unless it turned out that your shares were declared assessable. (Highly unlikely, however, but depending upon how far left our country goes after the increasingly likely change of direction following the November election.............)

As it relates to social distancing? Really? Odd.

And thanks. Made leek, broccoli, spinach soup today with some creme fraiche. She really likes vegetables 🙂

The soup sounds good - I'm making leek and carrot soup (also has cannelloni beans) tonight 🙂 Last night was the first time I tried leeks and they are tasty, but were difficult to eat the way I prepared them (roasted, larger chunks).  I was never a big vegetable person but this year I'm discovering an appetite for many new to me ones.

What part of "relaxing social distancing" seems odd to you?  Where I live it doesn't mean lifting of all restrictions - we still wear masks and large crowds can't meet.  Rather it is a "relaxing" of the strictest guidelines so now we can start having elective medical procedures, salons and spas reopening (but not gyms), small groups allowed to meet.

Even within the lifting of restrictions there is still some social distancing.  We have some medical appts this week and next which will have temp checks before entering the building plus DS and DD will need to take turns waiting in the car since appointments aren't at the same time (thankful for sunroof and mild temps this week).

I thought they were saying "relaxED" SD. But to that I'll point out that California had 33,000 new cases in the last two weeks.

I like roasting vegetables, especially in winter when our choices are fewer.

We use the term "relaxing" (even before social distancing) to describe a loosening of regulations.  Loosening doesn't mean doing away with them altogether.  I'm originally from Western PA, but the term "relaxing" is used here in TN in that context, so it's not a local or regional thing.

I just went into my office and had to be masked, get my temp taken, answer a health questionnaire, and stand on a plastic square in the elevator.  But last night I was able to do to a dine in restaurant at 50% capacity, and last week got my hair done with certain restrictions.  That is a relaxation of social distancing.

I also like to roast big pans  full  of onions, carrots, cauliflower, broccolli , green beans, mushrooms,  cut up white potatoes and chunks of sweet potatoes.  butternut squash, large chunks of zucchini,  asperagus   I roast them  slowly and enjoy the juices they give off    delicious.;-)  Roast until all is  tender

You say you roast them slowly, at what temperature?  350?  or lower?

When making a really large roasting pan full, I roast at 350  uncovered and stir often.

Thanks. We're doing similarly for about two weeks in NV. We'll have to see if there's a spike. Also casinos are opening tomorrow. That's going to be a biggie, I guessing. And could have implication for cruising I would think.

I have a friend who had to go on a puree diet and she swears that a blended filet-o-fish is amazing😳

Amazing good or amazing bad?

I was on a puree diet for a week.  Hated it.  Strained soups like potato were ok.  Glad to move on to a soft diet.

I bought 200 shares at nine and a half.  Not a lot of risk there.

The shares are in an IRA so taxes are irrelevant.

BTW, those shares are showing a $1555 profit as of today.

Those shares are a very small portion of my IRA so the risk is very small.

The ultimate FoF is one with a well done hash brown on it.
