So, our single son is renting an 1 bedroom flat in a very old building in Tel-Aviv (circa 1950). DH helped painting, repairing and updating the characterless space as much as possible.

 

Lately, the "kid" asked for a reading lamp, handmade of course by dad. This morning we travelled to Tel-Aviv and were very lucky to find a parking spot quite near the flat (being such an old neighborhood, all the buildings have no in site parking).

Andy took the cover off the pool this morning. Yuck.  It’s looking better this afternoon but still a long way to go.

We went to the Farmer’s Market this morning.  Quite a few booths set up. 

 

It wasn’t too busy when we went. 
 

 

Maybe because their prices are pretty high, just like their gas out here in California.  What $20 gets you

 

Maybe I need to go in to farming.  Also bought cherries at $7 per pound and nice looking strawberries at $5 a pint. 
 

Hillside vegetation control was going on

 Happy we have a peach and a cherry tree.  Wish we still had our strawberry plants but we do have several blueberry bushes.

The patio furniture we ordered last summer was delivered in December.  We just need to get it set up now that the cover is off.  We ordered a cantilever umbrella that will be mounted in the ground and a matching free standing umbrella for the lounge chairs. They’re “supposed” to be in sometime next month 🤞.  
That rib-eye looks fantastic!

Crazy prices!

A small family owned market near me had free range, organic boneless skinless chicken breast on special today for 4.99 lb.  They’re usually 8.99 lb, sometimes on sale for 7.99 lb.  I bought 12 lbs, wrapped each one individually and froze them.  Just couldn’t pass up that price.

@Sunshine3601Debbie, I used to pick blueberries and blackberries at Day Camp on Staten Island.  Bushes were plentiful and I brought home enough for mom to make a pie and jam. I ate more than I brought home.  Counselor always cautioned us to wash them first but we never listened!  So costly in the stores now. 

 

@dani negreanuYour husband is an amazing creative artist.  The corner picture is  unique as is the lamp.  So very talented.  And OH that cheesecake!

Definitely cannot pass up a deal these days.🤩

London broils are on sale this weekend for $1.99 lb.  and I plan on buying several and freeze them too.   

Do you have a food saver?  I use mine all the time.  I definitely see a difference when freezing meats.

It weighs 20 pounds .The doctor showed us how to fold it and put it in the back seat of the car.Toby could barely get it out of the car.We watched a tutorial video tonight and it appeared easy to get in and out of cars.She will try again tomorrow.If there is a problem I am sure that our son-in-law who lives nearby can help .He and our daughter go shopping for us on weekends.
