We had a suite attendant that made sexual comments towards our 13 year old daughters so I complained to our concierge. He was replaced but we didn't get any compensation.

Yikes , hope he got fired , did you follow up with rccl .

free shipping with amazon prime helps too!

They offer free shipping on orders over $25.  You can usually find at least a 10% discount too. If you are ordering just one bottle amazon prume is the way to go.

I hope so but it was his last week of his contract and told us he wasn't renewing. He told us his wife had to go back into prostitution while he was gone. Unbelievable , but very true story. We did follow up with a letter to the CEO and got a very generic apology email.

My “Routine day in non-lockdown”, with my trusty ancient Kindle by my side.   It’s a gorgeous sunny 75 degree day with no humidity. If only I had someone to bring me drinks 😊.

In NJ where we had a pool, used to swim until Halloween. Pool was not heated either. Just how long does the swimming season last in RI ?

That is Horrible and unacceptable.     I would have taken higher than the concierge.

At times, but I only have 5 tabs open at the moment.  😁

I've got 4 open now, sometimes five too. I like the fact that CC keeps track of what I have not read yet.

I just cancelled our TA in November, because we are looking after Thor, my son’s (huge) German Shepherd. I was looking up how much they are supposed to weigh, and he is at the upper end, even for a DDC shepherd. He weighs 100 lbs.

James is deployed, and we will have Thor until Christmas.

But, on the other hand, we booked a Panama Canal cruise! It’s not until November 2023. After reading accounts of those cruises, we really wanted to try one.

We did a Panama Canal cruise in 2010.It was my favorite cruise of all time.

I keep a flow chart of my favs. Let me know what authors you like. Let's go from there.

We've had lots of input on this but with new books always coming out it's like a revolving door!

We can help!

Thank you Nancy,

Oh where to begin

Some of my more recent reads have been

Philip Gwynne Jones, mystery books set in Venice

Julie Quinn Bridgeton series

Phillipa Ashley

L J Ross

Tom Bradbury , MI6 series

Elizabeth Edmondson mystery series set just after the war

I've spent some time researching today and downloaded three or four books so that should keep me going

Now to do some searching for a couple of audio books .....

I probably just finished an over 550+ small print book in two days.

It is

Stephen King

The Institute.

Now mind you it is not like many of his novels, aka The shining, Salems Lot, Carrie........

This novel takes one to believe what could happen if unknown agencies attempt to control and use innocent children for their own purposes.  (In a nutshell).

Not rated R, but intense at times.

I do not think you will be disappointed with this one.

Very well written.

Take care

Thanks Sue, I don't normally scarey books so I've steered clear of Stephen King but maybe I should give it a go

Wow. I am not familiar with ANY of these authors.

So many books...so little time.

If I can get John off the computer I'll post the authors I read. He plays some intellectual stimulating  (i.e. stupid) war game.

I was tempted today but got a steak sandwich instead.

We had a day at the English Lake District and just got home after driving 245 miles.

This picture was overlooking the boats on Lake Windermere.

I spent a week in San Jose, Costa Rica for business 4 years ago.  I never made it to the coast, but the area where we were was beautiful and the people were great.  I have a friend who lived there for more than 10 years (with his wife and kids) and was very happy there.  I'd love to go back for a vacation.  Pura Vida!

I’m curious if you found your top step to be slippery yet or at all?

FYI, this is our plan for tomorrow, maybe with a drive in a summer car. We did a bit of pool prep work today, and oil changes on three summer cars yesterday. Weather is going to be great tomorrow so it should wrap up with some BBQ too.
