Well, it is the official overall HR record.  Judge is chasing the Yankee & America League HR record.  He is always diplomatic, being a team-first kind of guy will always diverts attention away from himself and towards the team and would never utter anything slightly controversial.  He also grew up being a SF Giants fan and Barry Bonds was one of his childhood heroes.

On the flip side, Bonds has said he wouldn't mind if Judge surpassed his 73 HR record and would like to see him do it wearing a SF Giants uniform.

Barry Bonds and I share the same birth month and day although different years.I have always been a fan of his.

My thinking is that the Yankees will not re-sign Judge because they will not want to pay the salary that he will believe that he is entitled to.

Therefore ,it is likely that the owner of the Mets will offer him the big bucks to sign with them. However,my feeling is that he will sign with one of the California teams ,most likely the Giants.

The best baseball player that I ever saw was Willie Mays. The best pure power hitter that I ever saw was Mickey Mantle.

Beautiful fall day today. My DH and I went apple picking. Temperature was cool and very windy, so orchard wasn’t busy at all. Picked up some apple cider donuts and cider at the farm stand. We then headed to Singing Beach in Manchester by the Sea. It got that name because the sand squeaks when you walk on it. I was very surprised to see three cruise ships in the distance. They must be hugging the coast because of Fiona’s projected path. We then went to Woodman’s in Essex for fried clams. Chubby Woodman claims to be the person who invented fried clams in 1916. Now home enjoying a cup of Dunkin coffee and a cider donut. I love fall!

It is great having our beaches back to ourselves for a few months along with the lack of traffic and trash.

The BC was never crowded as opposed to the Oasis Lagoon which was a zoo.

The infinity pool at the BC is so nice and we got there early enough to get a beach bed. Food was incredible. The filet is as good if not better than most of the specialty restaurants.

Funny how 66 degrees feels so warm in March that you want to open all the windows and so cold in Sept. that you want to turn on the heat.🙂

You aren't kidding!  It is freezing and blustery  here, even though it is supposedly 65 degrees here.  Both our granddaughter Ava has a Field Hockey game this evening, and our grandson Ryan has his Marching Band at tonight's football game.  Our daughter is going to call us just before half-time so we can go over to the field just before Ryan marches out.  It's just too darned windy and cold right now!!  (says the girl who'll be heading to NE and Canada in a couple of days)😁

I always wanted to try an AI beach place but Dan was not a beach person.  Thinking of trying this one in Cozumel $39.   They only take 30 people and its walking distance from the pier which I like being a solo cruiser now.  I think it's a small place.  It got a good review very recently from the B..g person that can't be named  Has anyone been here??

It does sound interesting....

DD & 6 friends were lucky enough to secure highly sought after tickets for the Sydney Swans vs Collingwood Preliminary AFL Final at the SCG last weekend.  Unfortunately, they were seated right in the middle of the Collingwood fan section but were  absolutely delighted when the Swans won by a nail biting one point.

The AFL Grand Final is on in Melbourne today.  Impossible to get tickets and flight prices are ridiculous so they are barracking for their favourite team from afar.

Came across two swans yesterday whilst walking in Canberra.  The Captain Cook memorial jet fountain is in the background.AFB07B27-FE07-4E69-B570-768B9633BE78.thumb.jpeg.5dd4ab075c0e3f9fc8f620128b2da6bc.jpeg

But please don’t feel like you just have to for our sake.  Yes, it would be soooooooo disappointing and sooooooo sad for you to skip out on us…….. Just don’t feel the pressure.  Just because most of us just LOVE 💕 following your exciting journeys and would totally feel bummed ☹️ if you didn’t do a live knowing the excitement that will be spilling out doesn’t mean you have to do it.  Really. Don’t let your extended family here make the decision, do what’s best for you…………

pleeeeeeeeeese do a live. Please …. Please….. please…..

🤫 Don’t let her know I am joking around.  🤫

Spent the day at our daughter’s house, helping her get ready for the birthday party tomorrow.  My job was to do some cleaning, inside and outside, including the windows.

While outside, I saw some bear scat in the yard, about 20 feet from their front door.  We do get black bears on occasion in our residential neighborhoods.  So I guess the answer to that age old question “Does a bear s..t in the woods?”, the answer must be “Sometimes!”

All this talk about feeling like fall, I noticed a few trees already changing colors when we took a walk this afternoon.  .

I believe most baseball fans and most reporters believe 61 is the real record , I dismiss the steroid players , they probably still route for Lance Armstrong 😁😁.

I will be going out to see my daughter, because she is having her tonsils removed. I understand that as an adult, the recovery is quite painful, but her ENT look a look and agreed that she needed it done. At least mommy will be there to look after the grandson and baby her (at least, as must as she will accept!).

As someone who finally got their tonsils taken out at age 28, allow me to give you a pointer for your daughter:

Half the pain meds, twice as often during the daytime!

I had to move in with my parents for my surgery (I was single at the time and lived alone, and the surgeon wouldn't allow me to go home alone after surgery), and my mother is .... problematic.

Even though I was a grown adult who had been living independently for a decade at that point, she refused to allow me to have control over my own pain medication, because she was afraid I would get addicted.  Mind you, I'm not really much of a booze drinker, and I've never tried so much as a cigarette let alone marijuana or any street drug -- why she thought I'd suddenly become an addict, I have no clue.

Anyway, it's important to stay hydrated after tonsil surgery.  But every time I'd take my pain meds, I would be knocked out when they kicked in, so I wouldn't be drinking water while asleep.  Then I'd wake up three hours later in pain, but my meds were prescribed for every four hours, so I had to sit there in pain for an hour until my mother would let me have more pain meds (and I hurt too badly to drink without the pain meds on board).  When the pain meds finally kicked in, I'd be knocked out, so I wouldn't be drinking.  Lather, rinse, repeat, with my witch of a mother nagging me all the time that I wasn't drinking enough.

Eventually I was coherent enough to strike a compromise with her -- I'd take half the pain meds, twice as often -- I wouldn't be taking any more medication than was prescribed for me, so she wouldn't have to worry about my overdosing or getting addicted. Instead of two pills every four hours, I would take one pill every two hours.

This would allow me to get enough pain relief to be able to drink, but not so much that I'd be knocked unconscious with each dose.  It also gave me a more steady amount of pain relief in my system... as dose 1A was wearing off, dose 1B was kicking in, and as dose 1B was wearing off, dose 2A was kicking in.  I was able to stay awake most of the day using this method and was able to eat and drink, and then took a full dose of meds at bedtime and in the middle of the night.

As healing goes on, you can stretch out the time between doses... instead of every two hours try every 2.5 to 3 hours, then 3.5, then 4.  And then switch to OTC meds like ibuprofen and acetaminophen if opioids aren't necessary.

Hopefully your daughter won't have a really painful experience like I did, but if she does, the "half a dose twice as often" could make a huge difference in her comfort level!

Just curious, is there a price point at which you would NOT book the Beach Club?

Because I'm seeing it priced at $180-$200 per person on some cruises, and considering that it doesn't even include drinks at that price (unless one purchased the DBP), I'm trying to wrap my brain around that price.

When you could go to Nachi Cocom or Paradise Beach and get all the drinks you want PLUS a 2-3 hour massage for the same price, I'm just trying to understand what makes the beach club at Coco Cay worth so much more money?

I loved beach club when I was there in 2019 and early 2020 but paid $45 to $65 pp back then.

One of my future cruises has it for $185 pp and the March 2023 has it for $235 pp.  IMO, that is way too much.   At these prices I probably only go back if I had lots of OBC or won in the casino😁
