Beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon in Sydney.  Ship of the day - Coral Princess85D5F884-0554-4E7D-AEF7-E59D1CF047CF.thumb.jpeg.a209ffb156de8c9eb9b56bc9edb16e29.jpeg

Walked past the beautiful homes of Darling Point and through Rushcutters Bay Park32B7FF63-5D1B-47F5-B049-29333D5CCA01.thumb.jpeg.8ae8b8c973dd2de69d6127523783d439.jpeg

Then walked through Potts Point to Woolloomooloo.  Past the famous Harry’s Cafe on Wheels pie shop which I have never eaten at and DH wanted something sweet rather than savoury so we didn’t stop.EC663D63-454B-4FEB-AB09-FA4D6EE7133C.thumb.jpeg.5b4d727586666db3f84e1834fb4c3972.jpeg

Then past the popular dining precinct of Woolloomooloo Wharf. Would have been lovely dining outside there this afternoon in the sunshine.1CD9F319-65C1-435B-A533-8F7ADED97A85.thumb.jpeg.f11e851814682bd43ea45212539bd956.jpeg

Then we reached the AGNSW had afternoon tea in the sunshine there and walked back through the city.  A pleasant way to spend an autumn afternoon.

@aussielozzie18 By any chance do you work for the Australian Chamber of Commerce or a travel promotion site? 😹😹. If not, you should!

Your photos are beautiful, and makes me want to come back for another visit.

Me too! We were there for 4 days before a cruise and never saw any of this stuff.

If only that flight from the US wasn't eternal....

We visited the U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii the other day.  It is about a five minute walk from our hotel.  The museum is situated on the site of the Battery Randolph, which was built as a first line of defense against an enemy attack by sea.  The exhibits in the museum galleries depict early Hawaiian warfare through the Vietnam War.  But as I went through the exhibit on Pearl Harbor, it made me hope and pray that we are militarily prepared for any future attacks by any adversaries.

🤣 Thanks.  No, just love my city and the harbour and DH & I love to go walking on weekends.  The forecast for this weekend was a “rain bomb”.  That didn’t eventuate so we figured we best make of the most of the unexpectedly  good weather.

I am retiring in 2 months.  I have several goals and one is to go through 45 years of pictures and make each kid a photo book and maybe several more of vacations and cruises.  Scanning In pictures seems like it will be a lot of work but I want to do this project for my kids.  It will mean a new desk top. Right now all those photos are in a giant tub.

It just so happened that my daughter-in-law texted last night.  She was looking for baby pictures of my CA grandson, so they could send one to the school for inclusion in their yearbook.

So, I sent her quite a few to choose from when he was less than a year old.   I think this was my favorite, but I don’t think it will make the yearbook. 🤣

My knees hurt just READING this sentence!!!!

My knees and my butt are not happy this morning. Hopefully the Biltmore is more flat with only a few stairs thrown in.  It doesn't help that I am used to sea level and we are altitude.  I did have 2 lovely dark and stormys last night.

I too love seeing photos of your walks around the city.  I often pull up Google Maps and follow along, trying to find the same vantage point where you took your photos.  It's sort of like virtually being there.

Do you track the length of your walks?  Seems like they are always several miles long.

We have one of our grandson with the same gesture, laugh at it quite often.  So enjoy your pictures, keep them coming.

A few staircases at the Biltmore but many go slow.  I had troubles goingdown the big circular one, have never been great at going down stairs, perspective thing.  Enjoy your day Biltmore is beautiful.

Proud mom today.  My oldest son (43) decided to go back to school and finally finish his degree.  Today he graduates from the University of Michigan. I'm proud of him to go back as an adult as it's not easy to do.  Thanks for letting me brag a bit.

This is a picture of my middle daughter Susan's middle daughter (she & her wonderful husband have 3 girls) with an unknown young gentleman.  Susan is the only child of my 6 (1 stepchild) to move out of Virginia to the MidWest where this was taken.  It's a year out of date and as @Ozark_Kid & I expect all of you know, kids change so fast at this age.  Still, I'm keeping this pic around, and wondering if I should see what Shutterfly has to offer (thanks to all of you).

She's adorable.   The little unknown gentlemen looks really happy to be there, even a bit smitten for her😍

Happy Anniversary Marietta & Charlie!

This sounds like a great way to spend a rainy Saturday.  How do you make the Kracken Alexander?

3/4 - 1 shot Kraken

1/2 shot creme de cacao

2 shots milk or cream.

Mix all together with ice in a shaker. Shake then poor into a martini glass. Small dash of nutmeg on top.

@Keksie - I wouldn't worry too much about the Biltmore grand staircase.  The rise for each step is fairly small and the staircase is very wide.  Plenty of room for both those who want to take it slow and those who are in a hurry and want to go faster.  The gardens are very large and require a bit of walking.  The garden area has some smaller sets of stairs and a few gentle slopes.  They are well worth visiting.  The longest walk is probably from the parking lot to the house.

Finished checking in for our flights about an hour ago.  Changed seats around on the Air Canada YYZ to LAX leg as some better ones had opened up.  Went to change seats on the United LAX to HNL to an exit row with only 2 seats as opposed to having a middle and aisle..and the dreaded error message flashes.  Called Air Canada, nope need to call United.  10 minutes later the friendly rep had us moved and waived the exit row seat fee.  Nobody sitting beside us on any of the flights.  Now to pack.

Having a lot of weather today.  Had a tornado touch down in Palm Beach Gardens, less than a mile from our home yesterday afternoon.  And now, we are under a tornado warning again,

And the rains are here now,   but it is not as dark as it was yesterday.

We had a fun Lyft back to the hotel.   We were picked up in a Tesla.   We were talking to the driver about how we heard they accelerate quickly.  He stepped on it and in seconds we were going 95mph...
