The 2 cities are only 1 hour from each other. We will get some kind of transportation back to Amsterdam to save the money.

Having lived in the area for 5 years, going from Rotterdam to Amsterdam shouldn't be a problem. Plenty of options.

I think that @Bimmer09 has used private transportation between the 2 cities.

Just read that Tony Bennett just passed went to see him in concert many times including an early date with my wife at a nightclub in Dallas in late 1980’s .

What a special, exceptional talent he was. Lady Gaga was amazed that with battling Alzheimer's he introduced her by name when they did their duets.  He knew!  RIP Tony and sleep with the angels.

We saw Tony Bennet from when he was young until he was old.  The best was in Vegas when he sang our wedding song as his encore.  I chased him through the casino for his autograph which he graciously gave.😢

I’m sad today. He was an American treasure. I grew up listening to him as my parents were big fans. His voice was smooth as silk. After we lost the amazing coroners Sinatra, Martin, Davis, and Darin he was the only one left. He gave me faith that the American songbook was still alive and well. Thank goodness for Michael Buble for carrying on these great songs. We are blessed that he recorded so many great albums. His voice and legacy will live forever.

1st cruise ends on June 11th. 2nd cruise  starts  on June 13th Gives us a day and half to explore Barcelona before our next cruise starts. Found a lower priced flight from Amsterdam I think we could make.......leaves at 1:15pm  $104  We only need the one way, 2nd cruise ends in Rome.

Monday July 24 will be my 80th.birthday.My daughters are making me a party on Sunday and have invited close to 100 people.Friends from my childhood,every school that I attended,several work friends,neighbors who became close friends,my nieces and families,nephews and families and many cousins.

The reason that I am posting this today rather than tomorrow or Sunday is that several people are coming from long distances and they will be coming to my house today,tonight and tomorrow and I am not sure specifically when they will be here.

The reason for such a large gathering is that 5 years ago I was critically Ill 

land my family made me a Celebration of Life Party.

Somehow I am still around ,something totally unexpected in July 2018.

My daughters have been planning my birthday party since January of this year to make sure that my long time close friends will be able to come.

Yes as I suspected the high price flights from Rotterdam are on flights with multiple airlines with several stops - not really convenient or comparable.

What airline did you use from Amsterdam to get to Barcelona? That is the only possible flight we want to book now, our Son from NJ is going with us and not sure if he is flying out from here in Virginia with us or if he is flying out from NJ/NY or Philadelphia to  meet us in Amsterdam
