I have no idea what caused that effect. It was hot. All I was wearing was a helmet, sunglasses, shorts, socks, and sneakers.

After watching the news/weather reports yesterday we decided today was going to be a good day to finish some yard work. But, not going to happen now.

Starting 2 weeks of vacation.  Off to my brothers ocean side cottage for a few days.  Kayaks are all loaded.  DW and I are Spending a few days with my Brother and his wife (The 2 of them are with us on B2).  Hope to get a river run and some wilderness drone footage.  Not much for cell service, there is some but it is sparse. will see all of you in a few days, and probably a dozen pages later 😉

 

And just adding, I took a few lightning strikes yesterday evening with my drone. They were still relatively far away.

I am now in the middle of reading a sequel to My Cousin Vinny, Back to Brooklyn. It won't win a Pulitzer Prize, but it recreates some of the fun times of MCV.  It starts out as Vinny and Lisa leaves Beechum County after the big court win.  When I read the lines, I can hear and see Lisa and Vinny in my mind.  Fun read of one of my favorite movies.  Downloaded on my kindle for free with Book Bub.

We are dreaming wish we were on a ship.

Last night, we were in our hotel room, and the movie CATS came on.  The kids started screaming, Turn it, Tun it!!!   It’s too scary.  So I guess they will never watch it on a ship either.  
 

A Sorento’s tasting pizza for supper.  

 

At least the indoor pool was a nice way to beat the heat.  
 

 

Morning swim is underway, but we have to check out in a couple hours.  There is more fun to be had today.

We went to the remembrance room at the crematorium this morning to read her dad's memory in the book.

There are several books like this photo which are opened daily for people to see their loved ones memories.

Afterwards we sat looking out to sea.

We live 13 miles from the ocean and 5 miles from a 3 mile wide river. Very very few places we could park and get the view you do.
