Thanks Sue. Beautiful balcony!

I booked the one below mid aft. I also remember these aft balconies are available very early or very late towards sailing ( if not booked up) for 2 people.

I'd suggest doing some research before ordering a full-face mask.  We asked about them on a snorkel excursion somewhere (might have been Woodwind in Bonaire) and were told that they don't use those masks.  If you are snorkeling for a longer period of time, carbon dioxide can build up in the mask.

Full-face snorkel mask causes IPO fatality - DIVE Magazine

I was going to post this. I have got a full face mask but am aware of the risk of carbon dioxide build up.  I think you have to breathe deeply and evenly, if shallow and fast that's when you get the build up. I don't use it long and always with someone.

On our excursions we used the providers normal mask and  snorkel

I hope not.  I have 2 cruises booked for next year and would hate to have to cancel them.

I hear ya, Karen!  No more boosters for Jim and I, either!  I also would hate to cancel our cruises, but if it comes down to requiring more shots, we would be canceling.   If the cruise line requires testing again, we're fine with that.  We've both had Covid, and that's after the 3 shots.

That’s a beauty! At one time I would have said it’s the Cadillac of wheelchairs.
I think it’s the Rolls Royce of wheelchairs!

Does it have a cup holder? That’s important!

Yes! It's a removable cup holder.  I am so thankful to get it.  A nice item is the chair cushion is an inflatable.   You can adjust the cushion by pumping more air in it.  I also love how it can tilt back and release the weight on my butt.  That will be nice if I am in a situation where I am in it a long time.

Good evening it is 19.40pm here in England.

I hope everyone is safe and well and having a great day.

It has been sunny all day here and 65°F.

We went to the beach for several hours today and had a picnic and ice cream.

Looks lovely Graham, it's so much lighter further north than us in the south unless the  pic was taken earlier in the day.

Went out to the boat this afternoon to give it a good clean as we're taking it out tomorrow with my brothers . Hoping the weather stays good

It has been a lovely day Sue.

Photo was at 14.47pm.

It was still light at 5pm when we left.

Your aft balcony looked great.

My nephew is currently on his way to RI for a car show this weekend. I hope he enjoys his time in the 200 mile long parking lot, formerly known as I-95. Hopefully he packed a sandwich for the trip.

It is Parents Weekend at two of our grandchildren's Colleges.

Two of our daughters left early afternoon from our home in New Jersey and are heading to URI in Rhode Island, and our oldest daughter left this morning from Connecticut to the University of Maryland.

Our oldest daughter posted a video earlier of sitting behind two lanes of trucks not moving, while the rain was pounding.

I am so tired of this weather.  What does the Sun even look like?  Can someone please remind me?

Thankfully we were able to stay in our balcony cabin.  I'm not sure they are doing quarantine cabins any more.   I'm guessing someone could break the rules and leave their cabin, but we wouldn't even consider such a thing.  Oddly enough, my DH was told he could leave the cabin after I was diagnosed and he was asymptomatic.   We chose not do that, as it didn't seem like sound advice.  We were allowed to order from MDR for lunch/dinner (but not breakfast for some reason).  My DH had the refreshment package so we got lots of water and soda delivered with meals.   I was also given internet for the remainder of the cruise (my DH already had the internet package).  We masked when meals were delivered or when our cabin steward brought ice/towels.   We certainly didn't want to spread to anyone else!!

Maybe I missed but what ship were you on?

Debbie, what did you do while in Bonaire?  The excursion Sue and Gary did sounds good.  We may try that when there in March.  I still have to order the full-face snorkel mask.

Sorry for late response....busy busy day.     We walked off the ship and went to the left of the dock where they have stands for locals selling their excursions.     We bought one for $25/pp that did a tour of the south end of the island - which is beautiful and very interesting to see the salt flats, pink water, lots and lots of flamingoes, diving sites and lighthouse, then off to Sorobon beach.    Absolutely gorgeous water at this beach and nice little beach restaurant serving good food (I heard) and beverages.

Then after the beach the small van with a total of 3 couples (6 adults) drove through the man groves (saw lots of donkeys hanging out in shady areas) saw various homes then back to the port.      For $25/pp it was a great day.     We then walked around town and did a little shopping and took in the sights.

I did see the water taxi that can take you over to Klein beach (mini island off the coast of bonaire) that is great for diving and snorkeling.

Thanks Debbie.  We did the tour around the Island like you just described, the 2nd time we were in Bonaire.  The first time, we rented the Golf carts and went on our own.  We're going on the Beyond with 2 other couples.  We haven't really discussed what anyone wants to do yet, so I was looking for suggestions.  Thank you again!🥰

Just curious what was the procedure for you as to how they got you off the ship in Boston?

Day before disembarking, our passports were collected.  We were instructed to keep our luggage with us.

On day of disembarkation, we were to remain in our cabin until someone came to escort us to one of the lounges, where all quarantined passengers were gathered.  We were able to manage our own luggage, but there were workers helping move luggage for those that couldn't manage.

Once in the lounge, we had our passports returned.   All luggage except carry-ons were taken down to the pier by luggage cart.   Once we were given clearance to leave, we were escorted via elevator to the gangway.  Our luggage was out on the pier.   It was not a terribly long distance to taxis/ride shares.

We were in the lounge for probably 45-60 minutes as everyone gathered, and they waited for all other passengers to disembark.   Most people handled it really well, and all but one or two passengers were masked as we waited.

The lady came up to get us had no cart,a cart wouldn't had worked anyway because by the time they had come to get us the crew had those red bags full of sheets and towels striping the cabin. Luckily I had a large suitcase where I was able to strap the third large bag had to. But I was still struggling to roll the bags over and around all those red bags in hallway.

So it was dragging the bags from our cabin to the forward elevators, down to Deck 5 to the conference room.

After being pictured and showing our passports to the Unmasked immigration personel,by the way Royals crew in the conference room was also unmasked.

Then back elevator to Deck 2 to be dumped outside. We were closer to the teardrop and had to roll all our bags to the pick up area for users and taxis with no help from Royal.

So unorganized ,was like this was the first time they have ever done this.

Such a shame that Jewel handled the process much different than Serenade handled the disembarkment on our sailing.

The last you want to do when feeling crappy is walk all over the ship, terminal and parking lot lugging your luggage.  Seems like they had no compassion whatsoever.

I would probably send an email mbayley and let them know they could do better.

I hope you are feeling better every day.

I won't have a choice next week.  I have been using the elevators already.   I caught covid once after a cruise but I am sure I caught it will riding home for 2 hours with 2 others in the car that had covid.  I am not concerned catching it any longer.

Having your Willis chair will limit the amount of people on an elevator, so that's a good thing🥰

She'll get their safely, it'll just take a long time with all the road closures. Once she gets to the other side of the Hudson River, conditions are much better.  Looking at the weather map, the Hudson seems to be the dividing line, heavy rain to the east, not too much on the west side of it.

VERY Nice!   I'm always amazed with how much room there is on RVs.

Question, do you remove all items from countertops when driving?
