About the only time she hisses and swats is if she walks right in front of me and I accidentally bump her paw. Or occasionally if she steps on my foot she'll hiss like I'm the offender. LOL. But other than that she's really chill. If she wants attention she'll come and sit and just put a gentle paw on my arm like "Hello, I'm here" - or climb in my lap or do gentle head butts.

Our February cruise will be our first time on her so curious to hear your thoughts. Congrats on reaching D+. Latest forecast for our area has 6-12” of snow from Saturday night through Sunday. I’m a little sad we’re missing the first storm (sorry @Ocean Boy). It would’ve been nice to hunker down and watch football all day. Allure is a great ship. You will have an excellent time aboard. However, I've never done less than a 7 night cruise on Allure and I really liked the 8 nighters. As far as the snow... Hopefully we will be spared on the coast. You are welcome to it up at your end of the state. I used to love it when it snowed. Now I just want to get down to the Caribbean to warm up. It was 23°F here this morning with the wind blowing feeling like the low teens.

It’s a good day to be born. 😁 Edited - While you’re at it, tell DS1 to also hold out for 2 more days. St. Patrick’s Day would be a fun birthday. I think my wife has a great fun birthday July 4th she gets fireworks every year . 4

My friends kept cautioning me that I'm going to be disappointed going forward as not all games are that intense & exciting. I listened to Ranger games on radio in the 50’s but I never became a fan and never went to games.Conversely I began listening to Knicks games in the 50’s and have been to hundreds of games,HS,college and pro . On a nice, sunny day like this, we could easily walk to terminal 1, but it might be more than some would want. The hotel said they may be getting a shuttle at some point, but now they just recommend private companies. I did see Ubers pulling in. It is across the street if sailing Carnival here, but not for Royal. We did that stay at the Holiday Inn in Southampton, and just walked to the ship with our luggage. It was convenient. Holiday inn is next to the gate at City terminal Southampton. There are several cruise terminals at Southampton but all are within 5-10 minutes taxi ride of most Southampton city hotel's traffic permitting. It is 34°F and cloudy this morning in North East England. Sorry to hear David Soul from Cagney and Lacey died yesterday aged 80. Take care, stay safe and enjoy every day friends. Rare h20skibum Posted January 6 #112436 Share Posted January 6 Another mooring line perspective from yesterday. Today, we are in Coco Cay. We have Coco Beach Club reserved. I forgot about the old tech on Allure. Don’t know how many times I tapped my sea pass on the door, before I remembered it had to go in the slot to unlock the door.

Rare h20skibum Posted January 6 #112442 Share Posted January 6 Breakfast in the Allure Crown Lounge this morning. I just wish they would clean these windows. Still one of the nicest lounges remaining in the fleet. Was able to get a latte here at 5 am, but then the grounds needed emptied, and couldn’t get a second.

How is your son and family doing in Amsterdam? Thanks, Aussie 🌹 We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the grands acclimated. We thought that the cold weather, the distance from the family, from friends and in general, from the familiar, would affect them, but it seems that kids are more resilient. My son and DIL enjoy the peace and quality of life very much. Financially, they have greatly decreased in “level of life”, from two salaries to one salary, and from their apartment without a mortgage, to a rented apartment, to which they must add more than a third of what they receive for the apartment they rented in Israel. Nevertheless, we are very happy that they are not here and do not have to go through the horrors of this never-ending war.

DaniDanielle Posted January 6 #112450 Share Posted January 6 My son and his family are in Washington D.C. for the weekend. Tonight a Knicks game, tomorrow they will see the Cowboys. My son is a huge Dallas fan and has brought his son into the fold! Next month I believe is Ohio for a Rangers game.
