Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

At Nassau today. 5 ships were here.  MSC Seahorse, Carnival Mardi Gras, Carnival Elation and one other ship.  We went to Atlantis and had a great time.  I would go back for a land trip.

Thank you, Mark!🥰

With so much going on for you, I do hope it has been all good!😉

Some good, and some not so good.

Good, as far as the latest scans for our daughter last week.

Not so good, in that our friend, Greg, passed away unexpectedly from complications due to a cardiac event.  He was a musician, and played with several bands in his career.  Very talented on keyboard, brass and vocals.  Susan and I helped out with the funeral dinner.

His funeral was unlike any I had ever been to.  Many of his band members came and played some of his favorites as a tribute.  At the end of the service, a video appeared on the screens of Greg playing and singing  an arrangement that was perfect for the end.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the place, and I guess he got to play at his own funeral.

RIP Greg.  You will be missed.

It will be very hard going back to Royal.  More details later.

Hmm, I'm not sure if that is good or bad news.

How did you like the renovated port area? I seem to be in the minority in that I really like Nassau.

I really like it too.  The port area was clean and hassle free.  Didn't go out of the area except to go to Atlantis. Atlantis was a lot of fun and I would go back.

Same with us.  We have a family cruise coming up on Wonder but then probably Oceania next for us to try out the "best food at sea".  We'll stay with Royal for multigenerational cruising but want to try other lines as just a couple.  Very interested in what Ken thinks (post cruise).

Oceania sounds good , but I believe there ships are fairly small wouldn’t want to cruise to Bermuda in a smaller ship . I agree want to hear from Ken .

Here is our cabin for the week.  Stateroom 8083 which is one of a few that can have 2 twin beds as opposed to one king (they don't separate like Royal's so you avoid that hump in the middle.  Pretty nice location, nice and close to the aft elevators.
