I made it through my surgery.
It hurts to cough or even move, and they’re going to make me get up and sit in a chair.

I was visited by vampires and ghosts of past, present or future all night. So now I’m really sleepy and still they come! I feel like poor Scrooge. Typical hospital torture!

Breakfast was Jello and apple juice. In tiny cups. I won’t drink the broth till they make me! I’ve nothing but liquids since Monday at 5:30 pm. Here it is Thursday!

Won’t know anything till pathology results tomorrow or next week.

I hope you feel better and get home soon.

My mom had one.  I loved it.  It was fun to drive, especially as a teen. 😁

LOL...yeah....great touring car. None of the new cars I've been test-driving have seats near as comfortable as the Riv. It really is fun to drive - handles the road very well. I''m way too sentimentally attached to it.

Not to ruffle any feathers...but I don't eat desserts. We never had them growing up.

Just caught up on 24 pages here. Lots going on with our family here. I have been of CC a bit, mainly because of the log-in issues.

Things are decent here. Owen team won their first football playoff game yesterday. He got 5 extra points, and went 5 for 6 with one being blocked. One of his teammates told us be made a 40 yard field goal during warmups. Hopefully he will never be called upon to do that in a game.

We depart tomorrow for an away hockey tournament. A game Friday, two Saturday and playoffs on Sunday, if they make it. It’s 4 hours away from home, at a place called Parry Sound which autocorrect has taken to changing to Party Sound. For any old school Bruins fans it might sound familiar, because it’s the home Bobby Orr.  The Tournament in fact is named after him, and is held in the arena named after him.

This will be a familiar sight for a few days for us.

If I remember ours was a 93, the first year they came out with this design. Mom had her’s until the early 2000s.  It was such a unique design for the times.

safe travels and good luck to Owen!

looks like cc decided to work tonight 😐

Thanks. It is so hit and miss for me. I don’t understand why, so I just put it down until it works again.

Earlier when I tried to post, I was locked out and a message pop up and said I was locked out because they were updating the system.  I would have to say I usually don’t get a message when CC does it’s goofy stuff.  If the message was true, you would think would work better on both ends if was done on an off hour.

Nope....93 was still 7th generation. Looked more like older models. 1995 (8th and final generation) marked a pretty radical design change and was the first year it was introduced. GM stopped making them in '99.

Just got back from our favorite supper club, singer is a really good friend who we have been listening to more more than a decade , he is in his 80’s and playing piano and singing for over 60 years, he told us he was playing at a upscale place in the 1990’s and Mick Jagger came in , his wife at the time who lived in Dallas requested him to sing Satisfaction, Jagger replied don’t you dare and tipped him a hundred and requested him to play Sinatra.

I would like to try Celebrity but don’t know enough about the ships.  The elite status might be a bonus but right now they are doing what almost looks like an all inclusive thing.  I have always looked at all inclusive as paying more for a cruise for things I don’t care about.   When looking at Celebrity in the past, the overseas itineraries is what was tempting me. I need to research Celebrity more.  Right now, with things still being canceled and changed, I am looking for good food and a nice ship.  Itineraries are so iffy right now I include Coco Cay and the rest is just a hope they don’t get changed thing.

Our travel trade travel agents offers the basic cruise as well as the 'always included' deal .

We'll probably be the only ones asking for the Elite happy hour drinks 🍸

I wish I had kept a note of the price difference. Will be interesting to see what our drink bill will be at the end of the cruise. Hopefully not a lot

That sounds good. I think I would enjoy that perk.  The Elite perks are something I need to get familiar with.  Do they also have balcony discounts?

It is nice, but DH hates cheese and wasn't keen on pastries or meats for breakfast, so the only time we went to the Elite breakfast we ended up wasting a lot of the food and going up to the buffet afterwards for him to what he wanted for breakfast.

Don't think I'll get him to go again

It snowed for Remembrance Day here!

Our Remembrance Day is on Sunday. My DH has spent the last 10 days fundraising for The Royal British Legion, our main servicemen and women charity, by selling poppies.  He's done this for as long as I can remember and has had some amazing conversations over the years with people buying the poppies.

Every other year for the last 20 he does a charity ride for The Legion from London to Paris along with several hundred others.

Yesterday was Armistice Day here in the UK with two minutes silence across the country at 11am

Graham - This may sound like a strange question, but was Pauline a dancer?  I see her turned out in many of her pictures.  DD23 was a dancer for many years and naturally stands and walks that way from years of practice.

No but she is a good disco dancer.

She has been a civil servant for 43 years.

I will have to see if this works.  I saved a video as a gif, of granddaughter twirling her baton in the parade last night.

I know if I were to try this, there may have been some injuries involved.  Looks like she picked up some of my DW skills.   She use to do this with fire batons.😳

Spending 4K for a "free cruise"? Must be in Star Class 😁

They count $$$ in from winnings, also.  For example if you're playing slots and you win $100 and instead of cashing out you play it, that counts too.  So if you're lucky it could be a lot less than 4K.

Thanks for this suggestion. I will pass it on to a lactose intolernt colleague who frequents TJ's (maybe she knows about it already)
P.S. I am an ice cream liker who will not bite your head off for vigorously defending ice cream or suggesting alternates. 😁These days people seem to be needing more hugs and lots of chillaxing😁

Is he my DH's twin by any chance???????

I LOVE cheese as much as Lenny loves ice cream!!!!! LOL!😁

We also don't frequent the Elite breakfast in Tuscan. I want my eggs benedict or omelette 😋on vacation and a cold breakfast is not my cup of tea😁 LOL!

I've only done it once, because we enjoy a hot breakfast also.  However, I had never had a Bellini and wanted to try one for breakfast.

I do not know for sure how this is calculated or how it works. But I was on the Anthem some years back and met a young passenger who was on her free casino cruise. She told us she brings $2500 every cruise, plays it on the slots and gets a free cruise for next time. I would have died if I had not asked her what she does for a living (in very polite way) and she said she does nothing.....she got a big inheritance. I am happy that people are able to do that. No comments from me on that, its her life. We enjoyed talking to her and learnt somethings.

She gambles $2500.  Doesn't necessarily mean she loses $2500 .... although most of the time she probably loses more than she wins.    I do know they count money gambled, not lost.

Like I said I do not know how this is calculated. Just relating what was told by a person.
