@Sea Dog saw these cuties with their Mommie on beach in Antigua today.  They hang out by beach restaurant along with some baby kitties but I didnt get their picture.  Also saw a man ride by on a horse with a Colt and a dog running behind them.  Looks like nature was happening all around here while no cruise ship tourists were here.  20220114_121740.thumb.jpg.008fa5e96aa6de2753ba2339a39dffba.jpg20220114_122134.thumb.jpg.32a415bcc60cf94ec2b4edb6f52c049b.jpg

Not cruise related but adorable dog related, I snapped this photo while vacationing in Aruba, Nov 2020.

The beach is definitely going to the dogs @ eagle beach.

So I thought I would post a few photos of our stop in Costa Maya today.  We haven’t had any scheduled tours this week, and we prefer to explore on our own to limit our time in crowds. We walked from the dock to Mahahual.

The walking path is in the median when you leave the port, and it is actually a nice, shaded area.

We found the Costa Maya sign at the intersection to Mahahual.

We stopped at the Krazy Lobster for some nachos and beverages.

The police harbor patrol was out, and cruised by while we ate.

I can’t seem to walk by a dock without taking a photo.  I love these kinds of shots.

Back at the dock, Carnival had parked one of their tiny ships next to ours.

The dreaded luggage tags were in our cabin tonight, so that means we have to get off on Sunday.

So living proof that we are die hard pet owners who will do anything to help our pets. Tonight we have freezing rain. The pups do not like it and will not go to potty outside. So what do we do? We take them out and follow them around with an umbrella so that they will do their business. Here’s a pic of Linda taking one for the team holding an umbrella over Lizzy so she can do her thing.BD9A12E3-38BD-4CB1-A065-82B5109F7ABD.thumb.jpeg.dfc8410579199fb9175f0bd7a2b35571.jpeg

We had a gorgeous day in Antigua.  I did some shopping this morning and was very happy to find my little silver shop is still in business.

She recognized a bracelet and anklet I had on her from her shop as soon as I walked in.  Then she was curious and looked me up on her computer and saw i have been shopping there for several years with last time being 2020.

Dropped off goodies i bought for my neighbor who is cat sitting as well as some really cool handmade turtles i got at store 306.   Will hang up one at the shore house and 2 on my patio.  I will take photos later.  Right now I'm too exhausted to move from our balcony.

Took a taxi to Runaway Bay beach and hung out there for 3.5 hrs.   Got lots of sun, rum punches and stayed in the water mostly as it was a hot one on the beach.

Had turkey dinner in MDR.  Delicious, so moist.  Probably part of the reason we are so tired.

Tomorrow we are at Barbados and have booked an excursion for another beach day.  Forecast is Midtly Sunny.

I hear a nor'Easter is to hit this weekend with frigid temps and possible significant amounts of snow....sorry🤩

I havent heard an update on covid cases onboard since earlier in the week and I believe the 72 +/- crew were transferred to Jewel yesterday while in St Maarten.  Was good to see those onboard in quarantine were allowed out of their cabins on balconies and saw some on upper decks too.

Overall we are having a great cruise and happy with our decision to be here😍

I'm so happy you are having a great cruise. Cheers!

Good morning.  It is 75°F and Cuba is off our starboard side as we sail towards Miami. A last sunrise at sea with clouds high on the horizon.

There were others up to catch the sunrise.

I just read the newspaper from back home, and it sounds like they are preparing for snowmagedon. It was 8° there this morning, and they plan restrictions and banning certain vehicles from the interstates and turnpike.

We will be choosing our driving days carefully to avoid some of the storms.

Looks like a calm and beautiful day awaits you at Coco Cay today, John!  Was it just yesterday that a ship couldn't disembark the passengers due to the heavy wind and water washing over the pier there?  I was on so many threads last night, my brain is having some difficulty this morning...😜

Allure did a crew transfer but passengers were not allowed off. Odyssey attempted a couple of unsuccessful dockings.

Weird weather last couple of days we were in 70’s today will be upper 30’s and windy .at least it’s not Buffalo where it will be in single digits for tonight’s Bills game.

12 degrees where I live.It is expected to be 2 degrees at game time.

My Cardiologist left Long Island to live and practice in Buffalo. He never lived there.I guess he likes the weather.

@h20skibum.  I have been a total fail with sunrise photos.  Our first couple of mornings were cloudy.  Must be the sea air and sleeping like a baby onboard but the earliest I have been awake has been 7 am.  I'll try better😉

Very happy that you are enjoying your cruise.Hopefully you will have good weather when you get back home.
