Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" ​ 😁 ​day in lockdown... how was yours?)

The sale is pretty good. My daughter purchased the refreshment package for almost $80.00 less than it was the other day.  For fun I have been still checking room availability. The interior today was about $700.00 more than she paid!!

Sounds like from the article I read she said she would never return to BD. It will be interesting since the new season has already been shot if she was on that season or is referring to any future shooting of the series. Eddie really ruffled some feathers when he wasn't asked back and complained about the pay.

I just finished the 2 shows that were taped. They didn’t show any interactions between the captain and and the chef. The shows that I have taping are titled as BD  Never Scene Before shows. I’m not sure why it’s not taping the regular ones. I don’t see them listed to tape.

I am surprised but happy that Royal worked it quite fast.  I have read that people are waiting months for the refunds due to covid cancellations.

I haven't followed the gossip about Bravo for BD but am very surprised to hear that Eddie will not be returning.    Rachel is an amazing Chef and I hope she is not back on the bottle and talking crap again.   I would love to see her on BD again.

I saw on the Alaska board the other day that RCI was part of the 7 cruise ship companies that were awarded the privilege back in 2019 to visit Glacier Bay for a 10 year contract period.

I am thinking of selling part of our coin collection I had some appraised at about 2k ten years ago, several half dollars going back to early 1800’s , one of the coins was worth 400.  My wife parents collected them.

Great to hear you are having a fantastic trip. Looking forward to hearing more about it. How's the food on board? Any shortages in food or liquor?

Overall very good.  A few minor things, berries seem to be in short supply yet abundant fresh produce in the markets we have stopped at in port.  No sorbet, only ice cream.  Sorrento's has to be the worst I have had in at least 5 years. It's like they cooked the dough then added toppings and cooked it again.  Hot dog buns in the WJ are small and split into two pieces when you open them....they need thr buns they gave on OA and QN class ships at thf doghouse.  The slot machines are all ones geared for the Asian market...casino is very quiet on this sailing.

 

Service has been outstanding, specialty restaurants have been great.  Dining room was very good, first time there in probably last 15 cruises.
