I'm not sure if the earlier MTD hours were any better--we didn't think to ask.    Perhaps MTD was just more popular on our sailing?   Hope you can find a happy solution for your sailing.

And another related thing, I have been copying the image to the clip board then pasting it in the message.   This way you don't have to try to find the pic among your other pics when using "Add Files".

We haven’t cruised out of Galveston in about 5 years but with airfare so high and oasis class ships we will be sailing from there again, we have Harmony booked for November 2023. Next two still will be from Florida.

Thank you. I just thought that it was the time zone where the ship departs. It does make more sense for it to be where Royal's HQ are. Stupid me.

I've checked in twice in the last couple of weeks for 2 different cruises.  In both cases, I used the app to quickly select my check-in time.  I then took care of the rest of the check-in process over the next couple of days.  You don't need to go through the entire process to lock in an early time.

As far as MTD goes, we have had no issues.  We managed to get all seven of us in at 7:00pm.  There are lines set up for the different times but once they get going it was not bad.  The Oasis does have early seating in the same dining room as MTD so they should fix that but really was not too bad.

The ship is crowded, first we sailed a big ship in prime time, never again.  Too many kids and quite a few unsupervised.  There are large cliques of people blocking the pathways and filling elevators.

The Windjammer MDR is not the best and waiting to get in is horrible.  The hallways are warm and muggy and they are letting people in a little at a time.  This is how close we are to  Mariner….

I watched from the bar and saw quite a few winners. I did not like those machines because they are on the smoking side and I could smell the smoke a lot more than when I was on the far left side of casino.

I have to mention we got to Cape Liberty about 9:45 for 10 checkin.  There still was not much traffic.

we walked right in, they said everyone could go in no matter your time.  Check in was the quickest yet.  They looked quickly at negative test results, did not need to see Covid vax cards.  We then went and sat for about a half hour and went right onto the ship!   Muster was even better, scanned  our setsail pass and that was it.

That's good to hear.  We have 10am checkin and are planning on getting there early, no sense hanging out in the hotel.  Our rollcall has tons of kids on it too, even in October.

Colonoscopy was all good. Thank you all for your well wishes. Clean bill of health and will do again in 5-7 years. I was surprised that 7 years was suggested as I thought every 5 was the standard but after 3 procedures since I was 45 and no change), the doctor said I can stretch it out to 7 years. Although I may still stick with the every 5 years just to be on the safe side and since the insurance company pays 100%!

 

I was craving McDonalds afterwards but decided I didn't want a belly bomber to be my first meal so I went home and had a "big" salad instead.  Dinner last night was coconut crusted chicken cutlet with watermelon (sry, no food porn pics) and today will be McDonald!!  Pretty sure that will have the same affect on me as the Miralax did!! 😄   TMI?

I've played those Quick Hit machine plenty of time in various casinos & cruise ships. When they get on a hot streak, it's a lot of fun and rewarding!

Have they started having the separate C&A levels setup for the waiting area or is it still just everyone in the same area except suites?  We went cheap this cruise because balconies were less than $500, couldn't pass it up.
