Here's a pic of them from Father's day.   Finnley is about Kenzie's size!  Finnley is 22 months, Kenzie 23 months older!  Crazy

 

What a great looking family, John.  I could not imagine trying to keep up with that many.  The three grandkids I have wear me out sometimes.

 

Haven’t even thought about Cedar Point.  It has been years since I have been there.

I have been trying to get caught up, after our busy day.  I may have a couple photos to post later.

 

 I think I mentioned that Susan and I work funeral dinners for our church.  We received some sad news yesterday that one of the young men in our church was killed Sunday night when his motorcycle struck a car that pulled out in front of him.  He graduated with my son and son-in-law.   He leaves behind three young boys.

 

Our daughter will watch our CA grandson on Friday afternoon and evening, while we work that dinner.  It will be a sad evening. It is hard when they are so young.

I cannot imagine what life is like for you.  I hope that you do not have to relocate but I’m glad that your son moved to Holland when he did so it gives you that option.

Sorry to read you're in so much pain from ankle surgery

I also am finding my ankle is getting more and more painful. I have self diagnosed (sorry @Ocean Boy) arthritis and should really go see my Dr to see if anything can be done. It's low level  pain which comes and goes but is worse after long walks in the woods. I also think I'm getting arthritis in my fingers, they are getting nobbley snd painful to squeeze shut.

Does anyone know if there's any self help I can do, vitamins? Exercises? Diet changes?

Yesterday, we gave our grandson a few choices of activities for the day.  It was nice that he wanted to go for a hike, although it may have been a little longer than he expected. Covered 5.6 miles.

Found a snapping turtle. Some other turtles would get close, then back off. 

 

I kind of like how this butterfly photo turned out

 

 

We also encountered a few deer on our hike.  This buck still has velvet on his antlers. 
 

 

We could actually get pretty close to them.  How close?

I was really tempted to add to my duck collection when I saw this. 
 

 

Instead, this was the choice of the day. 
 

 

I kept looking at these, and it looked like they have gotten smaller, as well as more expensive.

Try rosemary oil on your hands.  It does work for some people.  Do not pet your cat immediately after.

I appreciate all the kind thoughts expressed here following our loss of Marcel.  I've always had cats, but we've decided Marcel would be the last one. So now, I get to look forward to George @George C getting two new kittens, and reading about and seeing pictures of everyone else's cats and dogs.  Keep them coming!  😻 🐶

I don't know who is the red group. Only know they are Latinos. Saw a German group few days ago with yellow backpacks. NYC is a popular young people's destination as there are many free places to visit like Central Park and Time Square and Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue from a distance without paying a dime.

 

9/11 Memorial is worth seeing for the historical significance. All exhibits are build underground. 

 

They don't allow photos in 80% of the places so not too much to share but you can see the damages from the attack:

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here are pictures from the 2 pools where the twin tower used to be. The north one is under maintenance so no water right now.

 

The twin tower has special significance to me as I was up one of the towers observation deck in 1999 with my parents and my sister visiting NYC then and did the tourist thing to go up there. Surreal to see just an empty space now...

Yes, that is BJ’s.   I have one of those tubs from another restaurant somewhere.  Might have been from Bobby McGees.  I think I packed it away somewhere, or Susan disposed of it.

Definitely want to see the see 9/11 memorial again , I worked in lower manhattan when the twin towers were built, we went to top of the old twin towers and also new tower. Great pictures .

Drave can't resist loving those two cuties.  The three of them look so sweet together. I love Drave's moustache.
