I think it is a mixed bag.  There are many who will join a cruise as soon as they start up.  And there are many who prefer to wait until restrictions like masks, mandated excursions, etc are no longer needed.   And I'm sure there are many in between too. 

 

There are also concerns about what protocols will be in place in the case of a covid case(s) on board.  That seems to be a big outstanding question.   

 

I personally agree with you.  I don't think I would enjoy a cruise with a lot of pandemic management restrictions.   We are waiting and watching to see how things roll out.

So far we are at 336 (including yours) with COVID in the title.  Realize there are many more that are out there if you start looking at things like the "new normal", vaccines, ...

I took a short cruise in 2019 but due to family obligations could not do longer

 

Now that I am in a position to do longer cruises, I fear they will not be to my liking

 

I am not afraid. I had the 'rona. I think its overblown for most people.

 

Maybe we won't even be able to leave the US. Luckily I have done some traveling in Asia and Europe.

 

Hopefully sanity will win out at some point.

the covid subject... it just like the real thing...... it spreads very easily.......

 

to the point where if you removed all the Covid

and related topics :-

 

Where are ships.....

When will they sail....

What will they be like...

Will you go..

Will there be a Vaccine..... and anything about Vaccines

What are CDC saying.....

Will the buffet or whatever be open....

Would you wear a Mask....

Which cruise line will do better.....

How to i get a refund....

 

As one can see if you removed everything related... there would very little....

 

Except.....

 

What do you wear to Formal Night.....

What cutback have you noticed......

Can a bring this and that on board.....

It is a buffet or a cafeteria......

Up market lines are the same price as mid tier lines....

 

and lots of other trivia.....

 

People would have less to talk about... but still find something to complain about...

 

This about it....

Pretty self explanatory. I had the coronavirus so I am not afraid of it, and since I can't give it or get it, I don't want to have to wear a mask.

Since YOU won't be replying I'll respond in case anyone else sees this. Because you've had it in no way means that you "can't give it or get it."

The brother of one of my son-in-laws had Covid and gave it to one of his daughters.He recovered and got it again.

I'm sorry you feel your comment is true. You may not reply, but for others who are reading please know that some patients ARE being re-infected.  I would beg you to please consider others and wear a mask, even though you have had and recovered from Covid (happy to hear that, by the way - sincerely). Burying one's head in the sand or turning away when you don't like the answers you get is not going to help anyone get through this pandemic.

I like the list of cruise (non-covid) topics!  I think you forgot chair hogs, walkie-talkies, and people looking at their smart phones.!  haha
