I am actually hoping the replacement cruises have a bunch of typos. We were supposed to be on the Sky in 2021 and the currently listed cruises in 2022 are on the Crown even though the announcement says they are on the Sky. Really hoping they are on the Crown---my favorite ship---that would be the only positive thing. Groundhogs day anyone?

You're right! They fixed it later; the PDF I linked has the correct sailings now as they just uploaded the new file with the same URL. Still a mess but not as big of a mess.

We are six months out from Sept. how can Princess know they cant sail? Things could get better.

With regard to the cruises out of the UK, the UK government have basically prohibited foreign holidays before June at the earliest.  I assume Princess  ( and P&O) did not want to begin the expensive process of recrewing the ships when even the June restart date was problematic.  Also, it will be unlikely that vaccine passports will be ready much before August, thus making visits to EU ports unlikely.

By cancelling now, Princess are being pragmatic,  and taking the lowest risk option.

I was trying to search move over cruises from canceled Princess 2021 UK cruises. Having difficulties with the website on both Safari and Chrome.  Any one else having trouble with Princess?

Yup, happened before when they had pause extensions also.

I was able to view the pause’s details & replacement cruises in 2022 using Safari.

The press release says that the prices paid for a 2021 cruise will be honoured for the same 2022 cruise yet they are not honouring this on the Canada and New England cruise which was on Regal Princess in September 2021 and was cancelled a few days ago. I rebooked yesterday and have paid over £1000 more for the same cabin on the same cruise on Sky Princess in September 2022. I questioned this and they told me that it because the cruise hadn't been paid for in full (we don't normally pay over 6 months in advance and not many do!) and so we had to pay the inflated price. Its also an accessible cabin so not like I had a choice to downgrade from balcony to inside to reduce the cost as non were available and I'm a wheelchair user.

Does anyone know if this is the case with the other cruises that are now affected?

I was able to download the pdf regarding the cancellation/pause.  I hope I did not read the fine print incorrectly.  It is my understanding that my cruise will be moved over with just a FCD (not paid in full).

For guests booked on a cancelled voyage, Princess will offer to move guests to the equivalent cruise in 2022. The rebooking process will have the added benefit of protecting the guests’ 2021 fare on their 2022 voyage.

That is what I was checking on.  I wanted to see how sold out the 2022 cruise to see if my "cabin" would be available for a move over.  All I got was scrolling that would not stop.

yes!   happened to us also—-price increase was $1600...we are now seriously rethinking cruising with Princess ( even though we are elite—looking at other cruise lines)...very disappointed with their ethics!

Got email from Princess Cruises and they canceled our September European Octoberfest cruise on the Island Princess September 25th because of the UK restriction for foreign visitors, Second time for us on this cruise and our 7th cruise they have canceled in the last year. I see they have booked us for the same cabin on the same cruise next year if we want to try 3 is a charm.

What kills me is this is the third time we will have to pay cancellation fees on our air fare on these cancelled flights.

Also with all these cruise we booked they were paid in full so sorting out the FCC,what we actually paid in cash, and how much FCC we have still is a nightmare.

What next? Mediterranean out of Rome for the rest of the year?

They already redid the Enchanted sailings for most of 2021 to be mainly 7days r/t Rome. There are still a few open jaw sailings in the fall, but assuming those will be changed and that all sailings from Rome will be for EU residents only.

There most likely will be no European cruise season this year for Americans and Canadians (amongst others)

And the beat down continues 🙂 I will have to wait and see just what they are saying about moving to similar cruise in 2022. I have three presently booked on two different ships. On of the three was a Casino "free stateroom" offer but I did have to pay a deposit + port fees and taxes upfront. The other two were B2b on the Regal. Will they move all three and still give me Casino Cruise as one?? I am assuming I should be canceling EZ Air flights as well. The there are the hotel reservations. At 80+ how long can they postpone my cruising before I won't be able to go?? 😞

Princess will cancel the EZAir flights. You do not have to do anything.

They may disappear from the airline's web site before they disappear from your Personalizer.

Which is why since the Pandemic started any cruise I book with Princess I use EZAir as there is no penalty if Princess cancels the cruise.

The short cruises being offered in July and August will be sea days only. No port stops.

Hi. Not sure where you are reading that its sea days only. No reason not to include normal UK ports such as Liverpool,  Belfast, Greenock etc. Much the same way that RCIs Israel and Singapore cruises have ports.

My interest will be in reading what the situation will be for those wishing to cruise with children.  Assume it would be pre cruise testing as per RCI in Israel, rather than a blanket ban on kids cruising.

No ports, exactly the same as P&O.

Question for anyone who has cancelled and booked a new cruise, but not the one that was 'automatic' for 2022....

Yesterday, I put a new cruise ON HOLD since we are traveling with another couple and want to be in a cabin next to them. I called this morning asking them to move the 'money' from the cancelled cruise to the new cruise. On that cruise, I had $200 in FCCs for each of us, plus an FCD was used for the deposit....which I didn't understand at the time, but that was also a cruise previously cancelled. Anyway, this person told me that I had to wait until "Princess" moved the FCD to become an FCC before I could get the new FCC or something to that effect? I have no clue what she was talking about....otherwise she said I had to pay a deposit.  She said the only way to do it is extend the ON HOLD date which she did do, so now it is April 11th. She also stated I still needed to fill out the online form and she did update both cruises to point to each other....

Talk about confusing....just wondering if anyone had a similar experience....or is this one of those where you try and call later and talk to someone else? Or maybe I will wait and see what happens if they cancel the cruise....as long as it is before April 11th?

Yes but anyone from the UK who wanted to see any of these places probably did so decades ago.

I wonder how long they will hold out until we know if it is cancelled:

7 night from Rome to Barcelona in September.
