Vaccine Requirement News

No but on a similiar train of thought ,a friend of mine told me today that in NYC people are able to get the vaccine if they are physically unable to leave their homes. The Health Department will send someone to give them them the vaccine.

My 88 yr old mother is physically unable to leave the house. My father has to pay an ambulette to take her to the Dr. We still can't figure out how to get the vaccine to her. However, a visiting nurse told them that eventually they will have access to the vaccine and will be making house calls. Now that J&J is available maybe that will happen sooner than later.

I have had it as well.  Just wondering if I need the vaccine.  We were quarantined over Christmas.

My son and daughter in law had it last year. My DIL already received both doses of the vaccine (NYC school teacher) and my son will get it when it's his turn.

It draws as much debate if not more than the others listed. 😇

Wasn't much of a debate for me.  Told no longer had access for D+ to the CL on both ships.   Had access previously on both ships for years, and then D+ did not.  If that is not "kicked out"...I don't know what is.

Seems it still bothers you. 😇. No worries going forward for D+, most ships will have a SL instead of CL. Nothing to get kicked out of. 😂

They still called it the CL on both Vision and Rhapsody.  Not aware if they have changed the name to SL since shut down, but I doubt they would bother with it.

No, it did not bother me when we were on the ships, why would it?  But it did bother a lot of D+ on both ships, since indeed they were kicked out.   Many years ago Ds were kicked out of the CL.  Now it's D+ with ships that still have a CL.  But that was before your time.  😉

Waiting to see what loyalty lounges are on Odyssey.   You’ll be Pinnacle soon once sailing resumes. I personally believe Pinnacles should have their own lounge.

Only for about 3 months at most, according to my sister.  (An infectious disease specialist doctor).

Yes, Eric's infectious disease doc that is part of his transplant told us the same last week.  The average person has 3 maybe 4 months of antibodies after having covid and the average transplant person that takes anti rejection meds is about 30 days.

I was supposed to turn Pinnie last May...sigh.  When and if I can ever get on a ship again...I turn at that time.  We were that close before the shut down. 😞

Hopefully the Vaccine requirements will go through and we can all get back to the cruising life style we adore and miss so much.  🤗

She seems happy - great smile!

Currently rubbing her back, and I don't feel it.

As I recall, it was about the size of a grain of rice.

I think I'd prefer it in my wrist. Then I could open locks and stuff

Other than being tired I feel fine after my first shot of pfizer vaccine.

I keep hearing the 2nd one is where you really feel the side effects.

I've heard that too. Sorry you slept bad, I can relate. My arm 2 days later is fine. Even with the side effects of shot 2, I'll take that any day to not end up in hospital on a ventilator.

I have a metal hip. It feels natural to me. I can't tell the difference between the natural hip and the replaced hip. I'm sure a chip would go unnoticed.  My dogs were chipped 15 yrs ago. The needle they used was scary but it was performed at the same time they were being spayed so they didn't feel it.

We need keys for elevator, pool, beach access, tennis courts, etc at our condo.

Recently they upgraded to fobs. I'd so love a built in fob

So if a yearly jab is required to maintain immunity, I guess the unvaccinated who have had the virus will need to catch COVID annually to maintain theirs.  🤢

Which doesn't sound any different from how we deal with the common flu now, and is basically what I predicted a year ago:  You can either get the shot or get the flu every year - if you're older, you probably want to get the shot, and if you're younger, it's six of one, half a dozen of another.

When you have ANY virus you are immune from that particular strain forever.  Remember getting measles?  You can’t get it again.  Chickenpox?  Can’t get it again.  The only way you get a virus a second time is if it mutates.  Just like the flu which is also a virus like “Covid”, there are and will be seasonal variations. The “required” vaccines will never end, especially now since they have everyone scared out of their minds for a virus that has a 99.8% survival rate.

If it were built in you couldn't lose it.
