Wait till later. Your arm may get real sore. I couldn't sleep very well last night after getting my shot yesterday. My arm was really sore. Today it is getting much better.

The nurse told us to do exercises and move our arm around tonight as it will help alleviate and soreness.    She also recommended to take 2 tylenol before going to bed to help, even if we don't feel achy tonight.   Better to stay ahead of it, is her logic.

Tylenol didn't touch it for me after the second shot... My NSAID of choice knocked it down pretty good.

I want the tattoo instead - small barcode on the back of my neck that TSA can scan which allows me to move freely across state lines.

Me too. I wish all of the talk about the government tracking you with a chip in the vaccine was true. It would save a lot of time at the airport.

I was told to be sure to move my arm around as much as possible and to not sleep on that side the night after the shot.  My arm wasn't sore from either shot, but I did chills and a day of not feeling my best the day after the 2nd shot, (Pfizer.). I went to bed and slept most of the day.

I hope they refund cruises for people who can not get the vaccine (we have one planned for July).  Our family has autoimmune issues.  We can not get the vaccine, but did get Covid.  Two days and our whole family was over it.  I never had symptoms.  So, that would be a shame if we never get to cruise again as we are relatively young.  But, I guess with a 99.9% recovery rate in our age group and everyone else on board is vaccinated it's too big of a risk.  I wish they would allow us to sign something that says if we get sick we pay for the cost of everything ourselves.  We love cruising and I would take the chance.  Covid for us was easier than a cold.  It went away faster and we had less symptoms.

I still have an issue with the fact that if you have the vaccine why it matters if I don't?  You are protected, right?  And if you are not, why get the vaccine in the first place?  If you can still get Covid and transmit Covid, what exactly does the vaccine do?  You will still have a ship load of people in close quarters getting off at ports where they can pick up Covid and bringing it back to the ship.  If it makes the illness less intense then you should be able to get over it easily and there will be no reason to hospitalize, quarantine, etc on the ship.  Just saying.  Yes I am a little upset that because we can't get the vaccine we may not ever be able to cruise or fly again.  We should be covered by ADA.  It isn't our fault.  Sorry, had to vent.

Our daughter has autoimmune condition and she was told to get the vaccine.  She gets her second shot next week.  We have a friend who also has autoimmune issues and he has received both shots and no issues.

Our doctor has advised against it at this time.  But again, why does it matter if everyone else is vaccinated?  If I made the decisions to get my family vaccinated and something bad happened to any of us, I would feel responsible.  That is a big unknown.  We have already had Covid.  That we know is not an issue.  I will listen to the doctor since I trust her.

I just heard on a DC news station that Royal Caribbean will be requiring vaccinations in order to sail.  Has anyone else heard this?

No but on a similiar train of thought ,a friend of mine told me today that in NYC people are able to get the vaccine if they are physically unable to leave their homes. The Health Department will send someone to give them them the vaccine.

So what’s the latest on test cruises?  Sorry, being a bit cynical.  Never thought there would be test cruises once the RCL number crunchers did their thing.  Adding to medical facilities.  Physical distancing.  More staff for more sanitizing and service.  Less revenue possibly if capacity is limited.  Less take in the casino.  Less revenue from drink and drink packages.  Same for specialty dining, etc.  And then no idea what ports would be open to a stop by a cruise ship.  Sounds like a deal breaker to me.  Wait it out until the vaccines get administered and then require one for booking.  I know  that the vaccine would not “guarantee” that the virus wouldn’t pop up on a cruise, but if you have all crew and passengers vaccinated, how likely is that?  How much more likely than norovirus?  Ports?  We may be getting to the point that a lot of countries, especially Caribbean, might be willing to open up to a visit by a cruise ship if it has been told all passengers and crew have been vaccinated.
