Not sure if I attached this the right way, received an email that states that Sapphire, Sapphire Plus and Ruby still have VIP Lounge Access. Received the email on 6/23/21

It might be different until the covid restrictions change

Looking at the flier,  great news for table players as it  now states.

Earn eight tier points for every; $1 theoretical on table games

It used to be,

Earn one tier point for every $8 theoretical on table games

Thanks for that, I actually thought it was always $1 = 8 TCs, couldn't figure out why I was only Onyx and wrongly assumed I wasn't being rated correctly.  This explains why (lol)

Perhaps the solution to the problem here would be to create a Zenith Lounge that would accommodate Zeniths, the higher tier BCC members and maybe Elite Plus (depending on their numbers)? Maybe limit it to non-suite guests for the BCC members and Elite Plus (or you have to at least be accompanying a non-suite guest to enter)? This eliminates the potential overcrowding problem in The Retreat and gives Zeniths a special place of their own.

That's actually a very poor idea that I certainly wouldn't be in favour of and they'll never do (thank goodness). Part of the loyalty scheme is the social aspect. Sticking Zenith, Elite Plus, BCC members in a separate room?  No thanks!

It wasn't so long ago that Sky Suites were not eligible to use Michael's Club. Then they were allowed and I remember some high level suite occupants were not happy that it would become crowded. I must admit, I've never seen the place crowded with Zeniths.

The main problem with creating a second lounge would be where to put it?  It isn’t easy to carve out extra space on a ship.  Two lounges aren’t a bad idea, per se, many Royal ships have them, but where could the second one be?

It was just a suggestion. I honestly don't really care. I book suites and have the Retreat lounge access included in my fare. If Zeniths want to have that guaranteed access then book a suite. Simple as that.

Yes, I know you book suites as you often mention it. To suggest Zeniths book suites to gain access to Retreat?  Thanks for sharing that thought, but you are missing the point of a loyalty scheme/Blue Chip Club benefit which is what this threads about.

I’m sorry if my sharing information about my personal experiences on cruise ships on a cruise ship board bothers you. I mention traveling in suites because of course I’m going to speak on experiences in cabin categories in which I have traveled. How could I speak on the experience of traveling in a veranda, Aqua or inside cabin if I have never stayed in one on Celebrity? 🤔🤔

I could see a scenario where if the Zenith and VIP casino numbers continue to grow that it might be an issue impacting the Suite passengers.

but VIP casino players have to earn their status every 18months.

not all of them do so the # might drop. (but i guess the # can also go up.)

Just off Edge and suites were 100%, this week as well.  I believe it will continue this way.  Don't blame MoveUp, there were many people who just splurged for their first suite as well as many who generally sail on other lines.  There were many NCL Haven regulars I spoke with who were just happy to get back to sea.

Given no evidence of social distancing requirement in the Retreat or anywhere else on the ship I really don't buy the lounge restriction anymore.  I hope they reverse the policy soon.

I was just wondering if you would apply the same logic to the cruise connection gatherings?

Has Celebrity also removed the social distancing in the main theater?  I thought they were distancing  parties that were not traveling together.  Are you sure?

There was definitely no distancing in the theater.  I was sitting in the high top stools in the last row of the balcony so had a good view.   There were no seats blocked anywhere on board.  Yes I'm sure.  I'm only speaking for the Edge.

Activities where officers would generally attend were generally not held and I think that's why the connections party has been suspended and that it fine with me.  There was no CC senior officers party for Select and above as there normally was, only the welcome toast which was held in Eden.  The Captain appeared for a few brief comments and a picture with the top cruiser and then was gone proto.

Officers were not as visible as has been common in the last several years.  Captain Kate was around but again not as prolific as before.

Is this for real or a printing error?
