Good morning/afternoon.  Like others, I've found it hard lately to log in here on CC.  I've not had the problem before.

@dfish, your prime rib probably has all of us craving it.  We often have that for Christmas dinner, but not this year.  I already have regrets.  We always do the high heat blast and then lower the temp, as in one of your recipes.  We learned that from a James Beard cookbook.  It's delicious.  I've never been brave enough to try the one where you do high heat and then just turn the oven off.  That sounds so easy!  The roast is so expensive, I've never taken a chance with it.  May well do so next time.

Yum to all of it!

Congratulations, @StLouisCruisers, to your DGD for her graduation.  It's great that you are able to share in the event.

Bagels are always good, mountains are beautiful, and no living thing should go hungry.  I'm still pondering the quote.

Prayers and donation today for those impacted in the awful tornadoes.  Hard to even imagine the devastation.  Our prayers and thoughts continue to be with those on our care list -- Jacqui and Jose especially.

Thank you, Daily Contributors, for this kind place.  Have a lovely Saturday, Everyone.

Good morning, I still am in CC jail!   So love the sentiment about Christmas, mountains and prime rib!

Congratulations beautiful Ashley and Finnegan, perhaps he could meet my granddogter😂

We’re fortunate to have great beef and beautiful mountains we can see everyday.

We also love the international peace Park of Waterton Glacier.  The far side is Montana and you can do a boat trip with Canadian and American park rangers.

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Daily.

Interesting days. Hoping needy animals get enough food. A salute to mountains. I am a bagel person - I order them from NYC, and freeze them. I do limit eating them due to the carbs. I hear cream cheese is hard to find, but I put butter on mine.

Good quote.

I'm not a prime rib person, so I'll pass. The drink and wine sound good.

I've never been to Brazil.

It's been very cloudy, rainy and windy here today. I was awakened at 4:30AM by thunder. My UPS for the computer is clicking on for a few seconds intermittently, so hopefully power stays on. But I won't complain given the poor folks in KY and elsewhere who endured tornados. I have to check on a friend in AL, but she does have a tornado shelter next to her home.

@kazu Continued prayers for you and Jose.

@Seasick Sailor Have a great cruise!

@StLouisCruisers Congrats to Ashley.

@tjcox9 @Vict0riann Thanks for the great pictures.

Prayers for the care list and those in the path of storms. Cheers for the celebration list.

Stay safe and wear your mask. I saw that PA has a positivity rate of 14.4%, while my county is at12.7%.

Thanks for the Daily, Rich and Roy keeping us on the Care list and to everyone for their prayers.

Sadly, Jose is declining quickly and his prognosis is unknown 😢

He is in the hands of an Internal specialist and infection specialist to try to solve the mystery that has baffled so many.    I am praying they can find the answer but I don’t know how many more tests they can do. They have done so many. 😔

Good morning everyone! We are on our last sea day until disembarking tomorrow. A very fast week and a very enjoyable cruise. There are 1,240 passengers aboard so very, very comfortable. That is about 47% full. From what I have seen mask compliance has been very good, much better than our Viking cruise in July.

The Gingerbread Houses display on the Koningsdam was completed yesterday. Attaching some photos.

You almost need to secure financing in order to have prime rib.

Good morning, all! (It’s still morning here - barely!) Today’s meal has my full attention - prime rib is my favourite! I’ve never done prime rib for Christmas, but this might be the year to try it. We have been to Parintins, Brazil on the Princendam. I have a carved wall hanging of a parrot, which we bought at a little market near the pier from the man who carved it. We also went to the little Boi Bomba show put on for the ships passengers.

As the time gets closer, it looks like we won’t be at DS and BIL’s for Christmas after all. There is only one highway open out of the lower mainland BC, and that won’t change before mid January at the earliest. The one highway is open to essential travel only, crazy busy, and subject to delays. It is only open when the weather behaves itself, which it often does not.  Flights are full and insanely expensive. That leaves the bus, which is also full unless we stay for 10 days, while they pack to go south for the winter. My nephew and family can’t take that kind of time off, so they will be staying in North Vancouver unless the highway opens to non essential travel. We will do the same, and have Christmas with him if we can’t travel. @kazu Jacqui, continued prayers for you and Jose. Let’s hope the darkest hour really is right before the dawn, and that years from now you will both look back at all this together.

Happy Saturday, everyone! I wonder if those lovely gingerbread houses on the BHB’s have elevator mats?

Good afternoon everyone and Happy Saturday!  Finally I can post. I’ve been in CC jail and haven’t been able to like or comment.

@kazu Jacqui, my prayers for Jose’s specialists to find the best test and treatment for him and recovery. ❤️❤️❤️  I can’t imagine the worry you have been through. Please take care of yourself!!

Today’s meal suggestion is a favorite but I’ve never made one myself. The last one I had was in October on the Koningsdam. And the horseradish sauce was excellent.

Have a great day everyone and Merry Christmas!
