Agree. I think the new system is a huge improvement to the C&A benefits. Although, it might now be harder to locate like minded trailor trash folks to talk to.

LOL -- you left out "drunk" -- s/b "like-minded, drunk, trailer trash folks".  So where do we find these folks now? Could they be at Park West guzzling down all the free champagne while discussing fine art with other LM folks?

If not about free drinks, why does that figure into your evaluation🤔

Not going to argue with you... clearly you're confrontational.

4 drink vouchers per day, plus a 2 hour cocktail Diamond cocktail hour is more than enough for me to drink in 1 day, probably more even... there's no point in paying for the drink package if that were the case because it would be wasted on me.

Now seeing that the Diamond cocktail party doesn't include drinks as it used too... 4 vouchers a day may not be enough, so we're considering the drink package.

I like the drinks by the pool and some wine with dinner - usually take the cocktail party wine with me for dinner. It's not to get wasted as some have suggested.

Before, the "break even" point for the drink package was typically 6 drinks per day, so with the four free drink vouchers, you're talking about drinking ten per day to break even.

If you're only going to drink 7-8 per day, you're better off just paying for the extras as you go, rather than paying for two deluxe drink packages.

Your suggestion is what we've been leaning towards... I definitely can't out away 10 drink daily 4 days in a row!

"Coupons / Vouchers" or "Free" - its all the same.  The drinks in the DL have been and remain complimentary.  The only difference is you now are limited to 4, 5, or 6 per person depending on tier level - assuming they keep accurate track.  (Which based on our two recent cruises in October and December is very questionable and a topic for another conversation). The advantage is they are also good in any venue around the ship at any time.

Prior to the coupons the DL drinks were indeed unlimited, but could only be consumed there during the cocktail hours.  Speaking of which RCCL has now standardized that time frame fleetwide (at least with current US sailings) as 5:00 - 8:30 PM.

IMO I see no real drawback to the coupons and find my 5 plus my wife's 5 enough for both of us to consume our fill and cannot justify a drink package.  Any extra a la carte purchases are far less than the cost of the package.

Spend your money, have fun😁

We get 6, so no need for a pkg

Apparently you're not confrontational

The drinks in the past were for the most part sub par. Now that we have $13 vouchers, so many new drinks are available

That's a really good point and one I neglected to mention - thanks for adding!  The $13 drink value is a huge improvement in terms of selection over what what previously provided pre-coupon.  We've also noted that most venues will allow almost any requested brand to produce the desired cocktails that might even be pushing that value limit.

And although we are still at 5 v your 6, as mentioned that still covers us well without the need for a package. 😉

I also have the casino to fall back on😉

And on Odyssey we had the SL to supplement us. But at end of day, rarely had more than 8-10, and that was pushing it. Curious how we'll do on Harmony this week with no SL

All I know is we didn't have a single drink charge over those 8 days

So I'm curious...

Some tiered people get 4-5-6 drinks at any bar.

Suite guests still get unlimited during HH on top of their vouchers.

Some casino players get even more free drinks.

With the number of D, D+ and Pinns increasing, does anyone feel that the sale of drink packages will eventually dwindle?

What I saw on recent Allure pool area and what Paxs consumed, I doubt it.  It seemed that they had a standing order with the waiters serving the pool--simply amazing.  No empty glass or hands for these folks.

The majority of people on any  given cruise aren't Diamond or higher.
