No more bracelets

Royal Caribbean informed travel agents that they will no longer be using bracelets to identify vaccinated guests.

It was about time, I am sailing soon and I was looking for alternative to it.

Well, since everyone on US sailings, that is 12 or older have to be vaccinated, it would just mean everyone would be wearing a bracelet.

 

So why would you need them????????

 

And, as of next week, no vax/none vax venues.  Everyone is vaxxed.

The bracelets were no big deal...ours were just an adjustable green satin ribbon kind of thing.  The only trick to it was not tightening it too much if you wanted to take it off and on.  You could tighten it, but not loosen it!  DH tightened his but I didn't...and I did have to go back to the cabin a couple of times because I forgot to put it back on.  So it's nice not to have to remember that now!

There will still be 5% allowed to be unvaccinated. Under 5 years old does not count towards this figure.

I figured with no masking, there really would be no need even though there will be some unvaccinated.  The 5% or less unvaccinated really won't impact anything.  That's much lower unvaccinated  than out in the real world and rates are way down.

If you were medically except and are on the ship, and you hang around large crowds without a mask, than who is responsible, the crew to tell you not to enter, or yourself?

I think the new mask rules are optional.  So if you "feel safer" wearing a mask, no one is going to jerk it off your face or shame you.  N-95 masks are actually helpful if you have a cold or flu to keep you from spreading.   But if you have a cold or flu that is noticeable, you'll run the risk of being denied boarding.  I would bet that most of the 5% unvaccinated will be allocated to 5-12 year-olds, for which vaccines may not be effective and who have as a group very low probabilities of getting COVID.

IMHO, those under 5 SHOULD be counted in the 5% unvaxxed. They breath the same air as everyone else.

Agree, know of a Dozen personally that Sailed recently with Medical. Others on here posted more. Know has to be more then we realize. Either way doesnt bother me. Glad when all gone, no Mask, no testing, no Mandates, no Bands

This is great, I just got off Odyssey and would go to the Fitness Center before getting ready for dinner.  So my choice was to wear a sweat damp bracelet, or a water soaked one.  I preferred the plastic one from Allure in October over the cloth self cinching ones.

We would also like to see masks in the embarkation terminal and the requirement to do the Travel Safe Declaration for flying into San Juan at the airport done away with.
