We get home late Saturday, but will be watching from home.  Lisa looked on Stub Hub and amazing seats are out of this world in pricing. Asking isn’t getting though.

You never know, they might be “sick” at home on Friday.  I agree with you, why 4pm?  The dome will be shut as well, the MLB never likes it open for any play off games. The ball carries well even though both teams benefit equally.

I think all the start times are based on  which games will get the most people watching.

All the American League cities seem to be much smaller. Thus they got all early start times for games 2 and 3.

If you noticed Both National League Games 2 and 3 are the late games Saturday and Sunday. With the NY Mets in 1 series and  with Albert Pujols playing for the Cardinals in the other, Those 2 series are the games  are the ones people really want to watch  and those will be most watched.

If the Yankees and Dodgers would have been in the Wildcard round those teams would have been the late games.

It's all about getting the most viewers for each game.

Go Phillies !

I checked the prices too. Wow, who do the Blue Jays think they are charging that much? The Leafs? 😉

Those prices you are seeing are not the prices the Blue Jays are charging for the tickets........It's The Blue Jays fans who bought the tickets off the Blue Jays trying to resell their tickets and make a huge profit to pay for next years season tickets.

Yup, that’s what Stub Hub is all about.

If you want to see the Leafs play in Toronto, shy of knowing someone who has season tickets, the only way you get in is through a scalper or Stub Hub. Baseball is small potatoes in Canada for ticket pricing.

I'll tell you the first thing I noticed is those utensils are laying right on the table top. That is a big no no in my book. I have seen how tables are wiped down. Everything I use gets placed on a napkin.

That was my first too!  Didn't like seeing that.   You know how many tables and chairs they wipe with that same rag, disgusting.

Not sure how old you are, even if you remember this or not. But still can never forget this moment back in 1993.

Walk-off Homer by Joe Carter to win the World Series from the Phillies and the Wild Thing on the Mound. 😞

Hi Jimbo, I was looking at the prices being charged by the Blue Jays, not the resellers. Those prices are even wilder.

We are now at the Royal Theatre waiting for the Love and Marriage train wreck to begin.

Dinner at Hibachi was 😋

I love the Love and Marriage show just as much as I love watching NASCAR. They both go round and round, and round and round. And you know the Big One is right around the corner. 💥

If they win the Wild Card Series , the next 3 series will be even higher.

Everyone's tickets in the playoffs will be sky high.

I'm sure the New York's teams and the LA Dodgers tickets out of all the teams will be the highest.

Much higher then Toronto's

And then for the resellers:

All about Supply and Demand, much larger population of people in those areas looking for  tickets.

If the Blue Jays win the wildcard series lets compare the prices in the various cities. Never underestimate the willingness of Toronto and Canadian sports fans (Lots of folks will be flying in to Toronto from all across Canada for a World Series game) to be totally  'hosed' by our sports teams. 😉

Haha, special thanks to my buddy Biker19 for still remembering me after all these years.

As luck would have it, I'm over at the Princess board now posting my Mooring Line pictures as part of my recent Alaska trip report.  It's like spreading the gospel by getting the word (pictures) out to recruit new members to the fan club over at the other boards.

Speaking of the fan club, somewhere down the line (pun intended), we should come up with a name for the club (some people call this a cult but what do they know). Just a couple of suggestions to kick off the discussion: it can be something mundane like Mooring Line Appreciation Club (MLAC) or something more catchy like More Fricking Lines (MFL)...

Here's my contribution to the club with a few line pics from Alaska - they designed their docks differently so you see more standalone pylons than in the Caribbean or Mexico.  It's impossible to get close to them but it provides a different perspective:

BTW: We were on the "classic" Mariner of the Seas back in 2010 sailing from San Pedro.  Our first introduction to the Royal Promenade and we became RCI fans since then.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled cruise report...

The Love and Marriage was pretty good last night. Dinner at Hibachi had it beat though. In essence it was kinda the same thing, items being grilled over lots of heat.

I had the steak and shrimp and Lisa had the chicken and steak. We noticed that they didn’t toss the egg on Mariner compared to the Oasis Class ships. Not sure if this is a Mariner only thing, or across all ships now.

Love and Marriage was good, but we thought they spent too much time on choosing the couples.  That’s just a “we” thing though. We think another round of questions would have been funnier than 30 minutes of picking the couples.  The,couples picked were hilarious and it was even better as one set had their mom in the crowd and the other had their grownup kids. Marc Walker was also a great host, but after 26 years he knows how to work the crowd.

I may have got some pizza on the way back to the cabin.  I will say that with only cafe promenade for snacks the line can get long but it moved quickly. It would be nice if there was another quick area for snacks but not the end of the world.

We knocked off last night around midnight.  I was up around 6:30 to catch the sunrise and it was partially blocked by clouds. Photos to come.

A quick breakfast was consumed at the WJ and we are now flaked at the terrace seating by the pool.

Lisa and I spoke briefly with one of the crew, who was dressed in blue coveralls who fix everything, to which I have named the penguins.  Like the penguins in Madagascar who also fix everything.  He was testing the pool water.

We commented that it would be nice if the pool stayed open for longer than an hour today. The crew member responded with we should be good  “so long as there are no more baby bowel movements in the pool”.  Meanwhile, we are currently watching two young kids and their parents play in the shallow water along the pool edge. This is when the kids splash zone comes in really handy on the other ships.

Are there gonna be an takers here on an over under to how long it’ll take for both pools to be closed, or how quickly the first one will be shut today?  I mean, the odds got to be better taking bets with you guys than over luck at the casino last night.

All the cruises we have been on, we have never seen any of the pools closed because of that situation. Guess we were just lucky I guess.

I say by 11am one of the pools will be closed again for a clean up...........I know for sure though after seeing this happen 1 time, I sure as heck wouldn't even give it a thought of going in that pool again on that cruise.

Mid morning report from the pool.

The seas are calm and it is exceptionally hot today.  Lots of liquids will be consumed.  Sunscreen will be applied in copious amounts too.  I might even wish for the occasional cloud or two to provide some shade as well.

Both pools are currently open.

Thank you for another great review, Andrew.  How is Owen doing at home?  Miss his smiling face in your review!  Katherine

Thanks for asking. Grandma has been feeding him well with her exceptional skills in the kitchen. We are lucky to have her to help us out.

He had the final baseball tryout last night. He had a 4 pitch inning, and he isn’t a fan of pitching. His favourite position is centre field, but he can do it all. He was a football game this afternoon and an exhibition hockey game at 9pm tonight. Thankfully it’s at our home rink. We have been watching him get on the bus every morning on the security cameras and he waves at us. Occasionally we see Lucy following him down for the bus.

All seems to be good at home.

You are the King! I drew a lot of my inspiration of Mooring lines from you. I like the club idea. How about "A Bunch of Mooring Guy's."
