Never seen this before… by the pool on the Rotterdam

I’ve never seen this before.  We are currently on the Rotterdam and this is the last day of the cruise.  The housekeeping staff got up early and made a bunch of towel animals to decorate the pool area.  I’m not sure if it’s just for fun or this is one way to slow down the chair hogs on the last day.  In any case everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Seems they do it on the last sea day.  Did it on O-dam in South America in February and on the previous seven day on Rotterdam.  It is really a nice idea since they only do towel animals on dressy nights now.  I do feel sorry for the cabin stewards who need to get up early to do this (about 0430) according to our steward.  Combine it with all the work that needs to be done on the last day before turnover.

I see them on most of my cruises and I call my DH and drag home out of bed to see the animals.  It is usually early in the morning before the chair hogs show up.  The crew really is proud of their creativity so be sure to compliment .

On N. Statendam, they started setting up about 5:30, fully set up about 7:30. Yes, I am an early riser.

We are also early risers, we are usually the first ones in the Lido buffet for breakfast.

Towel animals always put a HUGE smile on my face (I love to keep them somewhere in my cabin for the entire cruise - if I get more than one in a cruise).  For some reason, I have never seen the Pool covered in them (7 cruises so far).  So definitely will be looking on my several next booked cruises!
