You also dont get the extra 1 pt for suite if you royal up. .though you probably know. That's why I wouldnt.

You should bid at least the minimum bid to have any chance of winning it.

Minimum bid on an upcoming cruise for upgrade from balcony to JS is $200.  Have seen much higher minimum bids in the past.

Variable.  On some cruises lately all suites are sold out.  In that case unless someone in a suite cancels it does not matter how much the person in the balcony bids.  On other cruises, multiple suites are available and RoyalUp bidders have a better chance to move up to a JS or better.

Does anyone know how much minimum bids run to go from a CP balcony to an OV one on Oasis class ships, specifically the Allure?

Can't tell you about Allure but on my recent Symphony cruise minimum bids from a CP balcony were:

OV Balcony - $50 pp

OV with Large Balcony - $230 pp

Ultra Spacious OV with Large Balcony - $325 pp

JS - $420 pp

Count us among the lucky. Two Royal Ups this past summer on two different ships and both got us the extra points. Not the norm but it seems ya never know what may happen.
