You really view RCI's crystal blocks as crap? I really like them. Perhaps a nice keychain for you?🤔

I was referring to all the other tchotchkes available. Big fan of blox

It would be nice to start adding them to the collection again.  🤗

And to those of you out there that will quickly quip in "you can buy them on Ebay"....that's like buying your sea shells at a tourist trap...not the same as finding them yourselves for the memories of where you got them.  😉

I agree.  I have 27 different ship blocks and I did not purchase any of them.  I did trade my extra blocks for some of the blocks I needed with friends.  Those trades were win/win trades for both of us.  Yes, I have sailed on all 27 of the ships.

I don't need the duplicates either...so I gave two of them to my sister (of ships she sailed with us, but did not get the points yet), and one to a very grateful excellent head waiter on a B3B we had.  He was sooo thrilled to get it!

Still have two Radiance , we are in Australia Korora Bay Drive Korora 2450 New South Wales. So shipping might be a issue and our boarders are closed. Our TP from Hawaii was cancelled 😕

Thanks for your reply.  Yes, that may be an issue.  Maybe when things get better we can do an exchange if you need any of mine duplicates.  My email is suebcoop@yahoo.com.  Hope all is well with you there.

Just imagine all the little details that need to be dealt with just to restart sailing. Like ensuring crystal blocks get ordered and stocked as required as each sailing eventually commences once the pause ends, and all the staffing needs to result from assembling folks who may or may not have had those positions on the ship, or any ship, before, and getting them familiar enough to be able to fully deal with all these sorts of little details so we as customers get the full experience we expect without issue.

I suspect there is already a supply of blocks on hand from when the industry suddenly shut down. But I agree, getting the industry restarted isn't going to be a piece of cake. It isn't like bringing one new build on line where they can pilfer trained crew from other ships to mix with new hires to help bring everyone up to speed. That is part of why I hope cruising opens up for a bit of time before any of my bookings sail.

Who knows if this perk will be included when sailing resumes?  RCG and all the cruise lines have taken and continue to take huge financial losses.

They let the Loyalty Ambassador or whatever they call them go early into the pandemic.   We will see if this is something they bring back. She wasn’t considered essential.

I would miss it if the blocks go away. I really like them.

I have probably already stated that somewhere in this thread but it was started a while ago and I can't remember everything that I have posted.😐

They must have an inventory.  Eventually, they may do away as they did with the Shipshape and Casino stuff Eg. T-shirts, keychains, etc.  I still have a few SS and casino t-shirts.

I lucked out getting a Majesty block last year.  I was on Majesty when cruising stopped a year ago and had to fly home a week early from New Orleans.  I had no idea that I was on Majesty’s last Royal cruise when I got off on Mach 14th.  I am so glad that I earned a Majesty block on that cruise since she is no longer with Royal.  Poor Majesty never had a farewell cruise.
