Does anyone a voyage list? I have sip and sail now and wondering if I should drop it for $1050.

I think the only list out right now is the one on the attached flyer. When the sale goes live the number of applicable sailings should be much higher. I'd say take a look when the sale starts to see if yours is included and if it is worth it to switch promotions.

Does Princess always refer to 3rd/4th passengers in a cabin as "extra guests" on internal TA communiques? At the very least it makes them sound less important that the first two pax; at worst the term is borderline pejorative.

How hard would it be for the first paragraph to just say "for third/fourth passengers" rather than "for their extra guests"

(the unnecessary insertion of their into the sentence again functions as a diminutive implying that a client who brings "their" kids/grandma/friends along but shares a triple/quad cabin is an inconvenience rather than an asset)

When is that? I'm waiting as well

In recent years it’s been my best booking option & has been available in early September until November.

The 3 benefits have varied throughout the years but in the most recent years it’s been:

  • Free tips
  • Free OBC
  • Free cabin category upgrade

The upgrade has been to pay for the least expensive category of a type of cabin & get the highest category available.  Some higher categories have been excluded or cost slightly more & the availability of 3 for Free is limited.

For example, pay for the lowest category of an interior cabin (IF) and receive a free upgrade to the top category of interior cabin (IA)

We could start a cottage industry in picking up terms that may offend.  Having read your past perceptive posts, I am sure that you are not staying awake at night worrying about those terms.

My eye has always caught the "British Isles" cruises. The Republic of Ireland has not been a part of the British Isles since 1922. Not to mention France. Another is to designate a passenger as "Elite".  Does that not relegate others to an inferior position?

I'm not changing from sip & sail, not the same value for our cruise.  Maybe 3 for free will be a better deal.  The May promotion I originally booked with was a better offer than this one, lol.

In past sales, cat IA has been excluded, so that you can only book up to IB.  We once had an IA booked and when the 3FF came along, we changed to an IB at the then IF price.  Later, we managed to snag a BV for similar price to the IB, but that is another story.

BA and above were also excluded.

Thanks for the heads up! I always like to know what the next promo is. This one doesn't look as good as the May promo that we currently have (both OBC and gratuities). Will see what the fares do on the 18th.

Exactly.  I would not necessarily expect the same fare pricing as there is for S&S.

The next sale begins pretty much right after the last sale ends.  3FF has been starting right after Labor Day and I note that Landmark ends Sep 3.  So I would look for 3FF to begin Sep 4.

I don’t think I would benefit from this sale.   With the Landmark Sale, we would only receive $250/pp plus $50 for the 3 person.  Presently I have drink package worth $644 CDN/(1&2 passengers), $214 coffee & soda CDN (3) and tips $132/pp CDN perks.  We only drink soda and virgin drink so we don’t really benefit from the Drink package.

Thanks...I’ve used 3FF several times for IA cabins & to me it was worthwhile paying an extra $20 more than for the other categories.

Despite booking them several times the IA category must be very popular because each time we’ve accepted a reasonably priced balcony upsell.  Maybe that’s because they could sell our IA cabin for more than we paid without providing the 3FF benefits.  We have another IA cabin this Fall but that cruise appears to have limited availability which could change as final payment is a month away.

Yep... I've booked the IA as well before.  No doubt pricing varies by voyage.  Let's say there is $30 more for each step from IF to IA.  That is $150 more from bottom to top.  In our case the diff between IA and IB during 3FF was $150.  I usually book IA or IB depending on deck and availability.

a long list of upcoming cruises is one of the most beautiful sights in the world, except those seen from a balcony rail......

I think you are confusing the term "British Isles" with implying being part of Great Britain. The British Isles is a geographical term that does not change when political boundaries change. Thus, Ireland is, was, and will always be part of the British Isles, while they are clearly not part of Great Britain any longer, as you state.

Do you know how this applies to obstructed ocean view? If we pay for the lowest category obstructed ocean view would we be upgraded to the top category ocean view or top category obstructed ocean view?
