Was that you or Iain singing? 🙂 7 hours ago, hcat said: Blue grotto photos and video .Wow! But i am claustrophobic like Vtcruiser... Wonder if you would feel Claustrophobic. A quick tight fit and you inside a large cave - never felt tight but it was pitch black except when you face the cave entrance which is where the Blue color come from. I’m jealous - I wanted to do it so badly a few years ago, but the wait was about 3 hours, the boat I was on had no shade, and I could already feel a sunburn starting, so I had to transfer over to the boat that was going back to the dock (there were 2 from the company I used for the island circumnavigation tour - some wanted to wait and some go from each boat, so the drivers decided who was going, pulled the boats alongside each other, and we transferred passengers one at a time between the two). Maybe my 50th birthday cruise will be similar and I can make it happen!! It may be that this is the end of the cruise and not huge crowds. I noticed that on the road entrance there was only one person on line. They had warned us that if the wait was longer than 30 minutes they would have to skip the Blue Grotto portion of the tour.
Rare Jim_Iain Posted November 1, 2019 Author #504 Share Posted November 1, 2019 On with the tour The Green Grotto. This one is good even for those that suffer from claustrophobia. You see it from your seat. Armani’s home.

Rare hcat Posted November 1, 2019 #507 Share Posted November 1, 2019 One great photo after another...Have you ever submitted to National Geographic? Nature, people, cats, signs , doorways...love them all! Looking for guidance..,,What do you do with all these photos? We used to print out our cruise photos and made albums with them along with clips from the dailies etc. We have a very large bookcase filled with Cruises..some are 3 volumes per cruise..how silly but I do love going through them. Stopped that years ago but then have it all on our computer and on the back up drive.. And we have a nice digital frame that does a slide show from a thumb drive. I was thinking of getting a sep laptop to use as a digital album repository...what do you think.? I am fairly lo tech as most can tell! My spouse is a great photgrapher..but not much into the digital world!

Often when the kids and grandkids are over for Thanksgiving I do a photo show using AppleTV. I also take my favorites and make a Hard Cover Photo Cocktail Book. I like the idea of a small digital print photo album. .I make alot of those for all our family events! Will try one for upcoming EDGE!

Rare Jim_Iain Posted November 1, 2019 Author #512 Share Posted November 1, 2019 We heard that 2 passengers were left behind in Naples last evening. They waited about 15-20 minutes, paging them on board was conducted before they were left behind. That would be a tough way to end your cruise. Rare Jim_Iain Posted November 1, 2019 Author #514 Share Posted November 1, 2019 We arrived around 5:00 am to a beautiful morning. Disembarkation was orderly and last number was called at 9:20. Lots of private cars were waiting. The Retreat Host told us Celebrity Private Journeys offered Limos for about 120 Euros. That is about the price of Rome Cabs. The staff was busy for our new guests. Great writer if your into Forensic type mysteries. I've finished my 3rd Jeffery Dever's novel since we left home. I'm also a fan. Have you tried Kathy Reichs "Bone" series?
Rare Jim_Iain Posted November 1, 2019 Author #516 Share Posted November 1, 2019 Luminae Lunch We both chose the Lobster Roll no starter The lobster rolls were really good. They recently changed the roll from a hard roll to a soft roll like a New England Lobster Roll. Great that they continue to respond to customers comments.

Looks like they added a little more lobster too. They have a history of being a bit skimpy on the lobster (lots of lettuce) Very good, though. 🙂 Glad to see that they are adding a nightly "special" that gives more choices. Will be interesting to see if this continues. Edited November 1, 2019 by vtcruising

Order with no lettuce - They have to give you more Lobster to fill the roll. 5 1

On the other hand, Michael Connelly and J.D. Robb (with the "In death" series) are still going strong. I've just finished Connelly's "Two kinds of truth" -- enjoyed every moment.
