Here’s a photo taken from the solarium while going through the new channel of the Panama Canal on the Emerald Princess in November 2019. A great place to witness the canal.

Some very nice photos here of one of the most photogenic places I've seen on the planet!  When I was there June 2018 with my family it was snowing on the summit, so it's nice to see what the view could have been like with good weather.  😄

The view June 20th, 2018 after the clouds parted just for a few moments (pardon the amateur photography on my old S6):

Wow, snowing! We were there on June 19, 2019 and it was my favourite port on our Land of the Midnight Sun cruise on Sapphire Princess. We were very lucky with the weather and the views were spectacular. 😊

To all my Cruise Critic friends. I have already posted a picture. I just wanted to say Thank You!! for sharing some of the best photos I have seen on Cruise Critic.

The Captain of The Rowboat,

Tony

I agree, Tony. I always enjoy looking at other’s vacation photos; I know they bore lots of people, but not me, & apparently many others. I thought it would be a distraction from this craziness to recall better times. I once started to read an article of the cruising experience by some travel writer who actually said, “If you’ve seen one sunset, you’ve seen them all.” That’s when I stopped reading the article. He obviously doesn’t get it.

Anyway, I think I’ll post another photo😀

The Guggenheim in Bilbao. I wanted to visit ever since it was built. We finally made it last fall on the Crown's transatlantic cruise. We had a great Cruise Critic group on that trip. The book club organized on our roll call had a couple of meetings, including one to discuss Dan Brown's Origin, which starts at this museum.

Especially enjoyed the photos from Sea of Cortez and Loreto as we were scheduled to be on that cruise on STAR this very week.  Our  friends, Kathy and Ralph, also booked the same cruise.  Sad to report that Kathy took her last breath this week.  Stay healthy and wear a mask.  😷
