It’s been a very sad for me but I won’t discuss politics. What I will discuss is my son doing a belated Father’s Day with me.

First we went had sushi together at one of our favorite spots. Boy it’s nice when your son picks up the tab.

Then we went to a nearby craft cocktail bar and tasted some interesting cocktails. Sorry there are no pics.

After we got home he presented me with several gifts.

The first being a do your own whiskey kit. Here you can take a basic bourbon and add different flavors and age the spirits in a bottle for several weeks.

Some of the flavors that you can infuse are dark chocolate, vanilla, orange peel, and birds eye chili to create a flavor infused bourbon.

This should be fun.

Next a cocktail smoker.

and finally a book that we really need.

All in all I could not be prouder of my son and who he has become. It made my sad depressing day a little brighter.

Great gift !  Better living through chemistry and experimentation.

Our cat also has fur like that. Lilo is a mixed breed of we don't know what. She was a stray. First picture when she was a baby and next 2 she is grown. She's a small cat. Her fur feels so soft unlike other cats we have had.

She's adorable!

This was my little girl. Her name was Duchess. She passed away, along with her 2 brothers about 10 years ago. I miss them all everyday. All of them were Pekingeses.

Greg I remember watching someone return an opened, and half empty box of Christmas Crackers in January for a refund.

I wonder, 🤔 would this with Louie too? 😂😂😂

Costco says you can return anything anytime for a full refund. Hmmmm you got me thinking…😉

Wow, that’s crazy expensive. I wonder if they sell very many? Do you know why it’s so expensive?

Good to hear he is doing better.

Most of it is because they age some of the grapes for a hundred years. The Bacarat crystal decanter adds expense to it also. I must say it was the smoothest best cognac I’ve ever had.

What a great day with your son.  You have a lot to be proud of...and some fun new "toys" to play with.  What cocktail are you going to smoke first?

Thinking of doing Sea Dog’s Old Fashioned first.

Hi everyone! Good news to report today. Owen’s wrist is lined up perfectly, so he will not require surgery. When they removed the temporary cast, his wrist is still quite swollen. But, he is now sporting a dark blue for the Athletic’s (his team colour) fibreglass cast. Much lighter and easier for him to manage. We will be back to the fracture clinic on July 4th for a new cast once the remaining swelling is gone. We will find out more about healing time at our next appt.

Great news about Owen.  Hope he has a short time to full recovery.

It seems like our days are so filled, it is hard to keep up here.  This morning, I was out doing some prep work for the First weekend of summer party tomorrow.

Our grandson was busy helping make some cookies.  You can tell he likes lots of chocolate chips, just like Susan

After making some small ones

He decided he wanted to make a really big one.

Baking out of the way, we decided to grab some lunch and eat on the boat

It was a beautiful day, with very little boat traffic

This was the maiden voyage for this season, and everything was running smoothly for a boat that we have now had for 38 years.

Finished off our evening as we do most nights.  Drinks in the hot tub while streaming something.  Tonight it was just my grandson and me, so we watched the first five episodes of Man vs Bee, the new series on Netflix with Rowan Atkinson. If you like his humor it is worth a watch.  We were both laughing.

What a wonderful day with your son! I am an only child too. Which is awesome, until your parents get older. :classic_tongue: I'm sure you are very proud of your son. I know my mom was really proud of my biology degree and a career as a well paid biologist.

And what great gifts! :classic_biggrin:

Sue so glad you had a great cruise. I am a big Captain Kate fan and hope some day to sail with her. I know Celebrity honors Royal C&A is Elite equal to Diamond?

I feel the same way. As soon as Linda and I reach Diamond (After our next two cruises) we would like to book a few cruises on Celebrity.

Yes Greg, RCs Diamond = Elite on Celebrity.  This is the highest you can transfer too, your points start at zero though.

You get happy hour drinks menu unlimited between 5 and 7 (not first night), but if you've got always included drinks package it doesn't really make any difference

Other perks are one bag each wash and fold laundry,  Elite breakfast with speciality coffee and mimosas.  Plus meet the officers evenings, 90 min each wifi and a few other things

Who is the photo-bomber in the lower left? The woman next to him seems to enjoy it but the two people standing in the back seem less than amused.

This was a preview show for Elite and above. They asked if anyone wanted photos with them at the end. I went up too but the photo looks awkward 😬 and I deleted it 😅

Sorry to hear about Owens injury.  I missed out on two weeks CC so missed this. Hope he's not in any pain, the young heal fast, though annoying to happen right at the beginning of the school holidays
