Another interesting place in Ellen’s stardust diner which is a block from Gallagher’s and it’s staff is out of work singers who sing and dance on tables .

I've always enjoyed going the Ellen's Stardust diner.  Just need to budget plenty of time as the staff will spend just as much time singing and dancing as they do serving food.  But it's to be experienced.

It was great to see one of my favorite ex-Yankees, David Robertson - one of the 2017 victims - get the save last night.  Oh, and coming back from being down 5-0 against one of the greatest pitchers (Verlander) was also satisfying.

Verlander while a excellent pitcher and future hall of famer doesn’t have a great record in the playoffs. Philly is having a great year there football team is undefeated and baseball team is in the World Series.

We haven't made the move from cable to streaming but plan to look into it eventually.

We recently downgraded our cable package to include just the channels we normally watch, because we are typically watching one of the streaming services.  We have Prime, Netflix, and Disney+.  Downgrading cable only knocked $50 off the bill, but we haven’t missed anything yet.

Same for me. At least once a year, I research going only with streaming services and it seems Comcast has it priced so that the Internet-only package would be $30 less than my current cable TV package.  So I end up keeping it for sports, local news and watching AMC and occasional TBS shows.

I have NetFlix, Prime and just acquired HBO Max, all of which account for 80% of my TV watching.

The NYC marathon is also next weekend so that’s going to add to the chaos.

Yikes! I didn't realize that. I have tickets to the Ranger/Red Wings game that day. It's a 5 pm game but I'm sure there will still be plenty of left over chaos.

I'll need to budget extra time or talk with my nephew about putting them up for sale. But that;s doubtful.

...but never again will I buy a Samsung fridge.

Our previous refrigerator was a Samsung.  The water from a defrost cycle would drain down behind the interior back panel.  But it would freeze up and then we'd find water under the produce bin.  Our favorite appliance guy installed an update kit that was supposed to fix the problem but it didn't.

The Samsung was otherwise working, but after ten years we decided to replace it.  The appliance guy recommended Whirlpool.  We're on year 3 with the Whirlpool and it works fine.  We bought one that has the regular ice maker but also has an ice maker in the bottom freezer section.  We use a lot of ice...and we love having two ice makers.

Only problem with Ellen’s is there is normally a line waiting to enter , it’s become really popular since we started going .

Sounds like you had a different problem, but we now need to defrost our Samsung ice maker about once every 3 weeks.  The ice melts and refreezes, causing an "ice bridge" that prevents new ice from forming and dropping into the bucket.  VERY annoying when I try to get ice and it's empty.  We bought a couple of ice trays and leave them in the freezer as backup ice because it happens so often.  Had the same problem with our Samsung fridge in Ohio.  I like the 4 door layout and ability to switch one of the lower sections between freezer and fridge, but never again will I buy a Samsung fridge.

Could never figure out why Samsung thought they could make refrigerators, reviews for them usually aren't good.

Looking to buy a 85 inch Samsung Tv for our remodel, feel we need a bigger set since we will probably be watching some now from the New Island while eating.

Anyone have one of those new mini- led sets, suppose to be nice and bright. Feel our opened up new room will be plenty bright during the day and this kind of set would be great for the area.

I do kinda miss the afternoon naps that using my new (since early August) CPAP has made unnecessary.  Before I started using it, I was napping 5-6 days a week...always about an hour in the afternoon after getting home from work.  Since I started using the CPAP, I've can count the number of afternoon naps I've taken on one hand...and not use up all my fingers.

I use a C-pap and you are correct you get a much better nights sleep with it. My Wife appreciates it too since there is no snoring when using the C-pap.

Congrats, Greg!  On the Bella cruise, waive to me when you see me in the Emerald Lounge.  Wait, there isn't one. 😉 After Bella cruise, we'll be 11 points away from Diamond.  I didn't think it would be possible, but we might catch up to you sooner than we expected.

Mike has been occasionally meeting up with a group of guys for coffee. One of them won a certificate for 100.00 for the casino. They won’t let him use it for bingo or anything else. He doesn’t gamble since he had a gambling problem when he was younger. I can’t find my notes about how to cash it out (assuming it would work for this) so Mike can tell him about it. Anyone have that info handy? Thanks.

Renee, I don't see that anyone has posted this yet:

Is it just me, I guess I not into fine dining when the portions look like Child's Plates.

Almost 2 years ago I upgraded my AT&T plan which gave me HBO Max at no additional charge.   I may of watch 10 shows so far.  I think the kids use it more than us.

We are watching a lot less current shows than we use to watch.   Hard to give up cable with college football and basketball going.   Maybe April 🤔

Samsung products have been hit and miss for us.  Love the phones.  We had a Samsung washer that we ended up returning.   We now have a Samsung microwave that acts up.  I think it's something to do with a steam detection thing 🤔.   I  don't know.   It at times sounds like it has slowed way down but it still heats.  Aggregating.

Congrats! I'll see you in the Diamond Lounge. It's kind of cool the first time your seapass will actually unlock the door.🙂

I used to wake up every night at least once to go to the bathroom, sometimes 2-3 times.  Then, my amazing wife started getting into medicinal herbs and gardening.  She did some research and made some tinctures that I put in my morning smoothies every day.  Raspberry Leaf, Milk Thistle, Dandelion, and Stinging Nettle.  Since I started using those, one of the benefits is I now wake up in the middle of the night maybe once or twice per week.  Nature can be amazing.

I have a friend who was born in NY but her parents were born in Aruba. She has lived there most of her life and does not believe in conventional medicine .She told me there is a flower that grows in Aruba that she boils in water and drinks the solution afterward. This woman and her 7 siblings are all highly educated and they have the same beliefs.Yesterday I began using something for pain that is a plant that grows in France.I am feeling a bit better after just a little over a day.

If you get one I'll be interested to hear how you like it.  When we got a new one 2 years ago we went with an LG Oled.  We really like it.

couple years ago we bought a 65" LG Oled for our Basement, My wife thought it was to small down there so we took it back and bought a 75"  LG Nano Cell that we thought really was just as nice as picture as the OLED but ALOT cheaper...........But really it was a small sample time since we only had the OLED for about 10 days.

Same for me except I usually need 2 or 3 sleepless nights to get a good, natural sleep. Last 2 nights were 4 hours, each night.  Attending a family wedding tonight which means another late night, although I will be limiting my wine intake as that tends to keep me tossing and turning well into the night. I'm sure Sunday into Monday I'll sleep well. Looking forward to it. 🙂

Enjoy the wedding.
