Threw together a little Saturday night dinner of cube steak, potatoes, and Brussels sprouts.  As a kid, I would sit at the dinner table for hours rather than eat any vegetable other than raw carrots…my mom and dad are probably rolling over in their grave in astonishment after what I put them through nightly at dinner.

Don’t try to sneak that EH Taylor BIB past me!  Nice.  That’s a unicorn these days in my neck of the woods.

Do you ship to Florida?😇😁😉

Happened to stumbled into this thread and look who's here, skim thru the posts from the past few days and happy to read that all is well in your neighborhood.  Wrapped up the Liberty trip report and starting the gradual countdown to Odyssey next January, as you knew already.  Just realized another NCL regular that had gone off the board radar from the pre-C era has been sailing RC, as I remember trip reports & photos filed from seadog67 ... my once sharp memory isn't what it used to be, LOL.

Been taking things easy & mostly staying home, not to risk the slim possibility of sharing certain undesired bugs with those near & dear to us with known risk factors.  Took advantage to get an excuse to defer the dental procedure for almost 2 weeks, antibiotic prescribed and hold on to that useless wisdom tooth until then, LOL.  Didn't gain any weight either, not the 10 nights on Cunard nor this 9 nights on Liberty.  Will stay in touch & give you (and others) heads up on possibly revised plans for the other cruise booked ... after we get C&A to straighten out our junior "status" - Susan has 2 accounts apparently, whereas I've been bumped higher into the next tier (not expected)  Read that RC's I.T. is as good (bad) as NCL.  Hi to Rj for us and best regards - let's see if we can spot Northern Lights this evening, most likely not - too much city lights even in our area ... Both Thor and Leah are gorgeous puppers!!!!

I leave in a few hours for the airport for my shortened B2B on Enchantment... gonna miss my old 14yo black Lab Dexter, but at least I'm going to Maya Chan both weeks so I can get my pupper-loving time in with their pets.

A bathtub is also useful in the hurricane zones. Fill it with water before the storm. It's one thing to not have electricity but not being able to flush is another thing thing entirely. Low tech but it works!!

During hurricane Andrew as we living in a single level house that was our solution. Now living on the 15th floor of a condo that would not really work for me. Buckets of water are heavy and if power is out that is a long way to walk upstairs. We have only lost power here once and that was for Wilma in 2005,(when we were not told to evacuate) but I like to be prepared. DH laughs at me when I made my thermos of coffee, he wouldn't be laughing in the morning if no power and no coffee,

A cruise friend recently moved to Florida with her family (in order to be able to cruise more often!), and she bought big storage totes and filled them with water and placed them throughout the house.  With a family of five, she wasn't taking any chances of not being able to flush if they lost water!!!  (She's down near Miami, but with a hurricane you have to prepare for anything.)

This way she could still use the tub to rinse off the kids, if necessary -- warm up a pot of water on the gas stove (or gas grill, for those w/o a gas stove) and pour it over them in the tub.

Now that the threat has passed, she just dumped all the storage totes and they stack up inside each other up on a high shelf out of the way in the garage until next time.

So here is my daughter's newest family member.

Meet Leah, a sweet 9-month old rescue.  Part Lab, part something else.

Leah gets along quite well with her siblings, kitties Luca and Sam.  At least that's what my daughter claims!

Kids are over the moon.

Welcome Leah.  She is a sweet looking girl. No doubt she will bring a lot of joy to the family.

After our grandson’s football game (they won 46-12), we drove to Millcreek Park in Ohio to hike some trails.

Saw a little wildlife.

We hiked up to the garden area, and there were a couple outdoor weddings going on.  In one part of the gardens, scarecrows made by various groups are on display this month.

No wonder the Browns are struggling.  One of their players is here.

Your cats are beautiful. The pumpkin martini looks good, too.

I've got two bottles left and I try not to drink them except for special occasions. They are too hard to come by so I want them to last.

I'm the same, hopefully I'll luck into another backup soon.

I'm getting ahead of myself a bit, but in the next month or so I should be the proud owner of Stagg Jr. and Jack Daniels Coy Hill picks through my WA bourbon group.  A first for me for both of them...

It was nice weather Friday so we put our outdoor furniture away for the season.  AC s off and furnace has run a couple times. Things are starting to wrap up for the warm weather season. Pool closing is next week.

We grilled some chicken and I was supervised.

She did come alive when I put down a small piece of chicken.

PA does a lottery through the state that I entered.  Stagg was one that I selected along with some others.  It takes months to know if I won anything.  “Won” only means the opportunity to pay the controlled price not free.  Never won before.

Leaves are changing too. You can see one last cut of hay, which will be wrapped as well.

Owen and I took the GT out yesterday for its last drive and fresh fuel before going on the tender and under its cover for winter. We got fuel and drove for an hour. It was a great day for it.

That will be two great adds. I have never gotten a bottle of Stagg. It keeps alluding me.
