Two traditional rivals going at it one more time plus the East Coast vs West Coast, Broadway vs Hollywood angle would capture viewer & ratings on both sides of the country. Sort of like the Yankees-Boston Red Sox. My vote is also Yankees-Dodgers this time around. Exciting, emotional match-up for sure.

We were invited to my host’s birthday celebration. They served a lovely dinner of filet mignon and shrimp and scallops. I was expecting the usual buffet setup so this was a nice surprise. Sounds really nice. Happy to hear that Charlie was able to have some fun too😊 and We had another beautiful sunny weekend with temps in the 70s. Expecting 80 the next 2 days then back to the 60s. Eric's stomach has been bothering him (the usual from his meds) so he's been lounging on sofa or outdoor lounger all day.

The back & forth scoring & late inning heroics from both sides got to be too nerve-wracking so I watched the game while fast forwarding to the end. People may think that winning the series 4 games to 1 was a easy cake walk but it was anything but. While Judge might be the face of the Yankees, Soto & Stanton have come up huge for them. Much closer series than the 4-1 result would indicate. Have to give the Guardians credit especially considering their payroll is under $100 million while the Yankees is over $300 million.

I know your cabin steward will move things to the new cabin for you, but how do you tag your new cabin number for your suitcases and hanging clothes? We are in the same cabin the first two weeks, but we have to move to a different cabin the third week. We will be gone from home more than 30 days before that third week, so we wouldn’t have luggage tags to print for it. You can also move your own items, if you want. I prefer to do that so that I don't have to wait and see when they'll get delivered. The day before turnaround, I go to the new room and meet the room attendant and explain my plan. I wait until everyone is out of the rooms, then I take my bags and put them in the closet of my new room. That way they are out of the way for the cleaning, but I know that they will be waiting for me when I want them. I keep my valuables in a tote bag with me, and then put them in the new safe when I return to the room.

I knew this would be the place for good advice. AND do we have to go to our 2nd cruise muster station to sign in? Different location. I usually play the video and listen to the emergency signal while I'm sitting in the B2B section waiting to be led off the ship... then I swing by the new muster station at my leisure to get beeped in.

As a newbie to Celebrity I am looking for some opinions to my following questions. My Brother has never cruised before so I want him to fall in love with cruising and hopefully him and his Wife will join us on future cruises. 1. Your thoughts on Equinox (for reference we enjoy Radiance class on Royal - ship size, more of a classic cruise ship and all the windows). 2. Is it worth buying the AI upfront? The cost is approx. $700 more per cabin. Eric and I are D+ = Elite+ with Celebrity. Looking at 9 night sailing and Yes, we will want internet to stay in touch with family, work and CC. We will have 3 sea days (plus boarding day). 2a. Is it better to buy one of those european packages for our phones while at port thenwe could just purchase onboard wifi for the 3 days at sea? 2b Yes, we will want specialty coffees and will have cocktails during the day while at sea (including wines at dinner) and bottled waters. We do Not buy the DBP with Royal since we are D+ and Casino Prime. Any other things I need to know about Celebrity would be greatly appreciated. The last time we were on Equinox was January, 2020, just before something happened! We really enjoyed the ship. We had the AI premium package which at that time included WiFi, tips, and the premium drinks. The Martini bar was our go to bar, and their drinks were not included in the lower tier drink package. I am not sure if that is still the case. One thing we enjoyed was Le Petit Chef. If you get a chance to book that special dinner, I recommend it. We rarely use our phones off the ship, but our cell plan has 12 free days of international calling a year, and only $10 a day if we were to go over that. 1
Rare h20skibum Posted yesterday at 01:12 AM #130996 Share Posted yesterday at 01:12 AM We had a beautiful day for a drive to NY after we got past those Sunday drivers. First stop was Pine Junction restaurant, about 4 miles from Peak N Peak ski resort. The restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, but the food was great. I kept thinking of Buc-ee’s when I ordered this brisket sandwich. It was really good. Our destination was Peak N Peak for their fall fest. We hadn’t been there since 2021, and I didn’t think it was as good this year. Lots of craft booths to keep the ladies busy. You could tell you were getting into Bill’s country when they had more things than Steelers. And, of course some chain saw carving going on.
Rare h20skibum Posted yesterday at 01:17 AM #130997 Share Posted yesterday at 01:17 AM What would a fall festival be without a pumpkin canon? IMG_3277.mp4 They were firing with 25psi. They can crank it up to 150psi. Anyone who wants to fire it can do it. There is a remote control box with a button for the warning horn, then turn a key to fire. Thanks for the tip, Debi. So much to do on turn around day. Move all our stuff to our new cabin, make reservations for one specialty dinner, get checked off at Muster, check MDR to see where our table will be. I'm glad I was able to reserve spots for all entertainment shows on both cruises. AND, I checked the 14 day weather forecast for our ports of call only to discover RAIN for all stops. Not just rain but more than 50-60% chance of T-Storms. Oy!

We are huge fans of Le Petit Chef, we do that at least once a cruise and last few cruises we did it twice , show and 4 course meal is alway good . We need to try a S class ship again , our first Celebrity Cruise was solstice, all others were M or E class . All were suites but solstice was before suite lounge and restaurant.
