Tag said I bought Jalapeno Peppers, but you know how some people move the name tags in those trays of vegetables when you buy them, never really know what you are getting.

Picked corn from our garden to freeze into bags this afternoon.

Very nice.  I'll stop by for some corn on my way to John's place for jalepeno poppers and to see new baby and sweet Kenzie.   I can bring some eggplant if you like. 😁

My daughter’s blood pressure zoomed with her first one and she developed preeclampsia. They admitted her but couldn’t get the bp down.
They were trying to keep the baby in for two more weeks.
Lisa went into a coma and her organs started failing.
They rushed her into the operating room to do an emergency C section.
They told us the prognosis was bleak and did we want to watch the C section.
We were put in a room with a big window and could see Lisa draped and her husband standing there holding her hand.
We couldn’t see her face because there was a drape between her chest and head.
The incision had already been made and we could see the inside of her body at an angle.
Poor Jon was white as a sheep, and Dick and I were holding each other up.
The obstetrician lifted a tiny purple plastic looking doll out and laid it on a metal table right in front of the window.
Two miracles happened.
The little plastic doll opened its mouth and mewed like a kitten. Its color lightened up and she opened her eyes and looked up at the nurse.
The biggest miracle happened a few minutes later when Lisa woke up.
I hope this wasn’t too much TMI, but modern medicine and dedicated hospital staff work miracles every day.
I hope and pray your daughter has her own miracle and they both come through like champions!
Edited to say Congratulations!
A healthy daughter and healthy baby are indeed a miracle!

No.  Not TMI at all.  Thank you for sharing your daughter’s experience... I’m happy for the outcome.  And you got to witness the C-Section.  That in itself was an amazing experience.

Not TMI at all.  I am thankful to hear all ended well with them.  Last night we were told the reason for induction was preeclampsia.  I googled what it was all about and quickly learned I don't need to know it all.  The little I learned was concerning to me.  All is ending well so far.

I warned pics would come.  This is just a tease.  I will probably start flooding the board tomorrow when she is cleaned up.

Congratulations!  Finley is a beautiful baby.  So glad that mother is doing well and baby is healthy.

Indeed.  Childbirth is always a miracle.  It is why DH chose OB/GYN as his specialty in medicine.  Very rewarding to help patients with or without complications.  It is a very special privilege to be part of growing a family.

Congratulations to you and Sharon on the birth of your newest member of the family, baby Finnley!  So glad all went well with your daughter and her delivery.  Babies are such a blessing!

Thanks! It's a big blessing.  This one was extra special with our youngest having her first.  Her sisters were over the top excited!.

So true Dani. Our closest friends 29 yr old daughter somehow survived an amniotic fluid embolism, placental abruption, and a stroke when her first baby was born via emergency C-section.  Baby fine as well.  She can’t have more children but it’s a miracle they survived.

Busy weekend and days ahead.  We have our two granddaughters for the weekend (along with the dog) while DD & SIL go to a wedding in Portland ME.  All while trying to pack and get ready for our road trip to Disney with two grandsons.  We leave Monday for PA, overnight at their house and then hit the road to FL Tuesday morning.  Some days and weeks it seems like there’s nothing going on and then BAM, everything happens at once!

How is Hubby's hand/wrist doing?  Healing nicely i hope😍

Yup, all caught up now.  I Reply as I go instead of read all then reply.    So very happy for your family.   I'm sure Kenzie and her cousins will be happy to meet Finnley too!

That's the way I reply too.

We facetimed with Kenzie, Caden and Aubrey but not the same as meeting in person.  My oldest daughter came up from LR last and just went home but plans to come back with all her kids so they can meet Finnley.

My DD is spending another night at the hospital tonight.  We are hoping all is well by tomorrow so she can make it home.

I just booked us for Anthem sailing for Eric's BD cruise sailing out of cape liberty on 3.26.23.

I used my free annual casino prime cruise.  They are for interiors but we upgraded to an OVB.  Cabin 7254 with extra wide balcony and double window like JSs have.  We like these rectangular cabins.   Screenshot_20220812-212812_Chrome.thumb.jpg.d49caddd8a29fc254f66f34c9da02374.jpgAfter he applied our diamond discount for balcony and 55+ discount the upgrade was free.  While actually he said it be $4.88 but he waived that when he saw it was Eric's BD cruise.😀

We still have his free annual cruise to use.  Not sure yet what we will do with that one.

Good morning.

Sunny and 75°F already at 10.31am with a high of 90°F expected.

Breakfast this morning.

Am I the only one who thinks the Brit tradition of beans for breakfast is just.... weird?

I know all cultures have food quirks that seem strange to other cultures, and most of the time I just shrug them off because that's just normal for that region (you should see the stuff my friend in Thailand posts on his Facebook page!).  But there's just something about the thought of baked beans at breakfast that just doesn't seem right to me!  LOL

Then again, I don't understand Royal's obsession with a grilled tomato on *every* *single* *plate* either!

I've noticed that others have chimed in, but I have to add a big old "AMEN!" to that.  With all the things that have to go *just right* all the way from conception to implantation to in utero development to childbirth, it really is amazing just how often it does work out.  The more you know, the more in awe of the process you become.

Midjourney is a AI based art program through Discord. You will need to create an discord account. There are plenty of YouTube tutorial videos if you search Midjourney. Here is link to the basic information.

https://midjourney.gitbook.io/docs/

Keep in mind the first few images are free but if you want to create more there are several subscription rates. I pay $10/month but my limit goes pretty quickly by the time you udate and make versions.

It's fun and once you get the hand of it you can create some amazing images. I think she will like it. Any questions she can email me.

Hope you are having a blast. Drink a cocktail for me.

Cheers!

Greg

Thanks Greg

I'm sure she'll play around with this and she already has a discord account.

It’s really amazing what you can create by just using prompts. I would recommend seeing other images that are created and copy and pasting into notes to help create your image.

You are up late.  7am here and we are up early for a shore excursion in Gdansk.

Finishing up cruising with cocktails with Below Deck. Made Linda Coco Locos and I had some black Manhattan’s. Hope your cruise is going great. How’s the food? Any liquor shortages?

Food is good, staff are great.  Pretty simple tastes with booze so I couldn't tell you if somethings missing or not. Weather has been perfect, around 75 every day.

Congratulations and so pleased all is well. What a beautiful little girl, babies are such everyday miracles.

Our DIL is due on 01Sept and went into hospital to be checked over for pre eclampsia 10 days ago, but has been given the all clear and is back at home .  Her mum who is a retired nurse and lives abroad,  came back to UK early to look after her and checks her BP twice daily
