Will have some pictures to post of our ship cruising from Bayonne to Manhattan later tonight of the tall buildings in the skyline. Leaving the ship now. Who knows this might be the last day we touch land out of the next 12 days...... You're allowed to leave the ship after checking in? What time is sail away? Rare bobmacliberty Posted September 15, 2023 #103254 Share Posted September 15, 2023 My daughter and her husband are on their honeymoon right now. They spent a couple of days in Interlaken, Switzerland and have now moved to Grindelwald, Switzerland. They are sending lots of amazing pictures. What a stunningly beautiful place! I've been to Zurich and Geneva but both were business trips. They are beautiful cities themselves, but I'm adding Grindelwald to my bucket list. 😁Anyone else been to Interlaken or Grindelwald? Paragliding in Interlaken. Harder Kulm observation point, above Interlaken Grindelwald Their hotel balcony A pretty nice view for eternity 21

Still no koalas spotted in the National Park but delighted to see a pod of 30 dolphins at Hell’s Gate lookout and at Dolphin Point a young boy spotted a whale leaping in the distance, repeatedly making a big splash much to the delight of kids & adults alike. Photos from today. Stunning photos! 1

My daughter wasn't too sure either and made the last minute decision to give it a try. She told the guy doing the "driving" to go easy with gentle turns and drops. My SIL on the other hand asked for the full treatment with flips and spins.

Ocean Boy Posted September 15, 2023 #103266 Share Posted September 15, 2023 People are camped out on the beach waiting for the storm to do something. It is what we do in New England. So far it is just breezy and it seems to be flattening out the ocean. A little disappointing so far though the surf is starting to get a bit rough.

Can you explain what the people are waiting for. In Gibraltar when storms are predicted we usually cancel appointments and take in the washing.

Arzeena Posted September 15, 2023 #103273 Share Posted September 15, 2023 We decided to go someplace local for breakfast after disembarking this morning in Port Canaveral. I googled and found a place with 5 star reviews, called the Southern Charm Cafe, so off we went. On the way out of the port parking we took a wrong turn and ended up across Terminal 3 where the Carnival ships dock. Right across is a brand new (being built, almost complete) Holiday Inn....so close that one can walk out of it and board the ship in Terminal 3. Only, it is the Carnival ship and Wonder and her smaller babies dock at Terminal 1. Now, expert walkers/hikers like Mark and Susan and Aussielozzie would easily be able to walk from that HI to Terminal 1, rolling their luggage, but not most people. Just thought I would mention this hotel info. We also drove around before we went to this cafe. Lots of nice hotels: Homewood Suites, Springhill Suites, Townplace Suites seemed to make me nod in approval 😄. And our breakfast cafe was excellent. If you happen to be there, try it out. Lots of locals and some cruisers..They had a line forming and a wait for arrivals after us. I am happy we gave some business to a local cafe.

Woe , that’s a very dangerous area . I found myself on 47th and just had to go into one of those diamond jewelry stores and came out in possession of a solitaire emerald cut diamond ring .
