Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

Recommended Posts

@DaniDanielle I wish your grandson didn’t have to write that but it is indeed beautifully written.   2 years.  Please remind me how old he is now.

@dani negreanu sorry you are unwell. Get better soon.

@FromSea2ShiningSea pretty sure I speak for everyone that we don’t mind how long your posts are.  Your photos are stunning.

Good Friday here in Sydney.  Looking forward to four days off work and a family get together.

Won myself this Easter egg in a raffle.  Smashed it up last night and it filled two large Tupperware containers. Won’t be needing any chocolate for a while that’s for sure….

Watched first episode of 3 bodies on Netflix, thanks for the recommendation. I am intrigued and looking forward to watching more.

Just looked at the photos from my son’s soccer trip to Japan.  I remember being really excited that he would be  in Japan for the cherry blossoms.  On his return I asked him did he see many blossoms - “mum, they were EVERYWHERE”.

Finally…a treat!  This soft-serve ice cream is thick and rich.  A 100% better than what RC serves as soft-serve.

Are you still at the same hotel where you are sleeping on the floor? Or have you moved to another hotel.

Right you're, Mark. @h20skibum  Just reading #6 on VirgiL series.

In my defense - I'm down with a nasty flu (vaccinated to boot) for more than a week. Got it from DH, who had a light "version", since he didn't bother to get vaccinated....

Not fair, not fair at all 😢

Dani hope you feel better soon.

Cocoa beach where I WAS looking. I thought the backside of cocoa beach where you face the banana river is a nice area. This one has every amenity, rv and boat parking is a biggie. Billiards. My cousin and real estate agent both pushing me to buy a pool table, no thanks. My cousin even said I should host a party once a week and he would maybe come up to see me lol. I for sure dont want the obligation of a weekly party. And of course the pool and shuffle board and all the normal things. Mine has a library I really like. The same banana river is what I look out to, except it a much wider river by the time it goes past my new condo.

Problem is this one is only 1305 sf, bigger but not big enough and I think HOA $860, pushing that 1k mark hard. My hoa includes wifi and tv from spectrum. A lot in miami hoa include electricity is why hoa in Miami . I really looked hard for something big enough with a reasonable hoa, just never found it. I wanted to stay in cape Canaveral or cocoa beach.

This is the banana river view and condo has TV and boat parking. I really liked this area better just not the size of the units and hoa. I'd just call it deep water side of the island like they do in texas. I'd have preferred this location. More tucked away.

RJ is 13, a really good kid.

Very mature for his age. No doubt it's with the help of his grandmother too! 🙂

Hope your daughter is healing just as well too.

Thank you. This is kinda crazy going out completely on my own. I got a cousin in Vienna fl but there isnt a port close enough. Lots of golfers move there. So 4 or 5 hours apart. And a few other friends in florida. Just no where I wanted to move. It's a huge step for me.

@DaniDanielle Marietta- Your RJ has written so genuinely about the feelings that he has experienced since the loss of his Dad. It is so good that he has family, friends and educators who have surrounded him with love and support.

Wishing him and all your family many blessings.💐

WOW that is so touching, simply beautiful!  He is a very mature young man who has been through so much and still takes the thought to commend all of his support from loved ones. He must make you feel so proud.

I spent time in that area before a cruise and it would be exactly where I would pick if I would ever have the opportunity. It’s nice area and far enough away from the rat race but close enough to get to it when the will arises.  Not to mention close to the ocean and to the port.

I’m sure you will meet people in a short order and perhaps you can join a club for a hobby or take up something new where you meet other like minded folks.

On to the next journey in life and a great one to boot!

@firefly333 It looks wonderful!! I think you will love it.

Sometimes I wish I bought my dad's condo in Pompano Beach FL when he died. I am one of six children. We sold it. It was on the intracoastal, but his specific condo faced the ocean from a couple blocks away ... ocean visible and picturesque.  But now we have grandchildren and it is hard to consider being that far away.

Like you, we would seriously consider a condo (vs. another house).

Wishing you much happiness in your new place!

I'm sorry you have the flu, Dani. I hope you feel better quickly.  The flu is going around like crazy back in New Jersey.   Some cases here in Naples, too.
