We usually go for the CLS if we can get one on the side of the ship. Don’t like the ones on the back that overlook the boardwalk and sports courts - too noisy. We book GS when we can’t get a CLS we like, or are on ships that don’t have them.

We also book side cls. Want oceanview and quiet

Select myTimeDining so table mates aren't waiting for you when you are coming.

That's a good point. Even if not sharing a table I'll change to MTD so the table doesn't sit empty when someone else could use it for MTD. After reading all of the comments above I'm sure we'll eat dinner at Coastal Kitchen instead of MDR.

Our cruise leaves a year from Saturday!

True , I forgot about room service. My favourite dining on the ship and I keep forgetting about it.

You have a direct number to the kitchen and they will do anything ,the best of everything.

The hamburger Royal is the best .

Had horrible experience with in room dining. And that was from Chops on the same deck. Not quite as close as CK to the cabins on 17, but not that far. Just not a fan. Never again

Agree to disagree good sir!!!

I've eaten at CK more times than I can count.

Typically only go 3 nights now. Filet, lamb, and scallops. Mix up special dining, jammer, and MDR the rest.

Big fan of breakfast and lunch, though

Depends a lot on who is the chef. We’ve had great ones and ones that don’t seem to care what they serve. We make our decision on how often we eat there based on our first evening’s dinner.

Indeed, some may even serve a special request if given a heads up😎

Do you get a choice of dinners in CK each night? Is the menu like the MDR where there is a variety of appetizers, dinners, and desserts to choose from?

Yes, around 4 mains and appropriate starters, sides, desserts. Service is great, just not a fan of some menus, and it's nice to try rest of ship

Yes, there are daily standards that are on the menu everynight and then around four or five main courses to choose from.

In what way, I’m curious?

Food arrived 45 minutes early.

Forgot plates, no steak knives

And this was STAR Class.

Plus it's just to crowded in my opinion.

Room service for snacks only from now on

If you google, you will find lots of examples of menus.  Who knows what the menus will look like once sailing starts, but this is one I found for you as an example.

Mmm, looks like I'll be having three appetizers and a couple of entrees. Then dessert. Then back to the suite lounge for more dessert and a drink. I'm a creature of habit.

On that particular menu, my DH gets both the filet and the cauliflower steak, hold the yogurt. 🙂

I got it from Giovanni’s once and it was cold.

ROOM service is only snacks?

We used to order from the main dining room,   is that finished??

Have you got a link or something?

We enjoy eating in CK.

Over the years we only experienced two unusual events, that in no way impacted our dining there.

We enjoy the variety of menus as well as the individual attention we received.

We have rotated our cabin selection between CL1 and CL2.

I enjoy people watching and like the CL2.

Whereas the DH enjoys the sea.

However I see on the Symphony and Harmony they are only listed as CL1.

Stay healthly

All Oasis class ships now only have the L1 designation. They did away with the L2.

@John&LaLa is saying that his room service meal was so subpar that he'll only use RS for snacks now.

I need to redo my diatribe on CK. You might find it interesting. It incorporates DD and whining. 😉
