Sorry I offered I wouldn’t WANT your thread to go sideways.

I know and I appreciate your offer to lend a helping hand in a stressful situation if a passenger is running into issues. Having access to the right person can be a huge benefit.

I’ll post the Club Class menus, if that’s OK, as they should be the same as the MDR ones except for that one extra entree/dessert item CC includes on their menus.

Oh yes that is quite ok..it is your vacation and will gladly accept whichever you can provide..thank you so much..have a fabulous trip can't wait to follow along

If any of you have a problem with your cabins and you can't get help or help from the front desk post to me. I have become good friends with one of the floor supervisors since I was on for 2 weeks in December. I What's App him all the time & he to me and we talk on the phone. He is very very nice. I can do it for you or even call him. But only a real problem please

Kathy

I hope the air conditioning is fixed in F305. It was brutally hot during my time there in March.

On the Majestic and Emerald, the Club Class menu was the same as in the MDR.  The extra entree was described verbally by the waiter.

@Ken the cruiser thanks for doing this “live from”!  Any photos you care to post of interior public spaces would be great. Many of us are familiar with the updates made in her last dry dock and photos may help us suss out what, if any, renovations or updates were done.

Have a Fantastic cruise!!

That was the same experience we had on the Caribbean Princess in January.

Will be following, many thanks for doing the live.  Previously followed your live as we were to cruise Jan. 3 on Celebrity Constellation.  Unfortunately we cancelled due to sudden illness of our dog (lost him Jan. 3).  We're on CP 5/21 (also once years back).  For years cruised Princess almost exclusively, but not since 2019 Diamond Princess SE Asia out of Singapore.  Now almost all Celebrity with last Aug. Apex, March '22 Edge, Sept. '22 B2B Edge.  We're roughly same age as you, with DH a seasoned sailor with 30 years in the Navy.  Really enjoy your live posting.  Wishing you a great sailing!

Funny thing about that. When we started cruising about 10 years ago, we enjoyed 7-10 cruises with a lot of port stops. Now, as we are in our late 60s, we enjoy longer itineraries with more sea days, which Princess usually has quite the variety to choose from. Go figure!

Ken--glad to stumble onto your TR. I recall your posts when we sailed the Edge last summer.

We are cruising the Caribbean Princess B2B this summer! (HECK of a casino offer)

Ironically our last Princess cruise was also the Caribbean Princess--10 years ago!!

So curious how the ship is.

Bon Voyage!

Areas not given a "refresh" with new furnishings/fabrics during the last major drydock in 2019 are of most interest - Princess Theater, Crown Grill, Explorers Lounge, Wheelhouse Bar, Club Fusion and Skywalkers Nightclub and the Lotus Spa/Gym all still retain their original furnishings/fabrics and decor, so most interested to see if anything was done in those venues.

Thanks in advance and enjoy your cruise!

We arrived at the SF airport at 11 am, and by the time we got on the Princess transfer bus after picking up our luggage, it was Noon. It was about a 40 minute drive to Pier 27,

and it took about 10 minutes to clear security and checkin with the required documents: passports, CDC cards and our negative antigen tests. Then it took another minute to pop over to the Medallion Pickup Line to get our medallions.

Then came the queue to actually board the ship. Not a big deal as it was enclosed, but did catch us by surprise.

We finally got to the cabin around 1:20 pm. But when I walked out on our balcony, it was all made better! 😁

After watching the safety briefing on the TV in the cabin, we first headed to the muster station to checkin there, which took all of 10 seconds with our medallions once we got there. We then headed up to the buffet to eat a late lunch and sat outside as all of the tables inside were full. But, that’s cool as there were plenty of empty tables outside, probably because it was in the 50s with a breeze. 😂

We then walked over to the theater to pick out various seating locations where we would feel comfortable when we go to the evening shows and found about 8 different locations that would work for us.

THEN, we came back to the cabin where I discovered my first limitation with having unlimited internet service for one device. Usually we each bring our iPhone and iPad, which was the case on this cruise as well. When I first got to the cabin while my DW was doing her stuff, I launched Princess App on my iPhone and connected to the MedallionNet, which turned out to be super easy. Then when we later got back to the cabin, I got my iPad out and tried to connect to the MedallionNet. But since I previously logged in with my iPhone earlier, my account had it registered as my one device without offering me an option to switch from that device to the iPad I was trying to register on my account. It was only when I completely logged off MedallionNet on my iPhone App and then tried to register my iPad again, that I was successful. It even produced a SWAP button this time I had to click on to replace my original iPhone device with my new iPad device. And life was good again as I like to check email, surf the web and post to CC using my iPad, and take my phone with me as we walk around the ship if I need to access the MedallionNet for shipboard services. I’m sure I’ll hear ways to work around this issue, but for now it’s workable.

One interesting note, though. Our son back home also has an iPhone and even though my iPhone now only works on the ship’s intranet, we can still text each other using my iPhone.

I sure hope it’s hotter than in the 50s like it is today here in SF! 😂 But I’m sure it will probably be in the 80s at least.
