Wrong TA. Find a good one.

Cruise Specialist. Had a different cruise specialist before and when I had to cancel 3 cruises because of Covid, the one I booked directly with the cruise-line, no problem, the 2 I booked through the agent cost me money. So now a different agent and this - no more agents for me. Noticed it is better for me to speak directly with the cruise line anyhow, my friend booked on the same cruise as me always has to wait to hear back from the agent, I get it from the Horses mouse. And using skype it is no problem time-wise since I can do lot's of things on my computer waiting to get through.

My daughter's cabin category is $83 less today. Can I call in and get it repriced for her while she's at work or does she have to do it? Our bookings are linked and I have her reservation number.

you can do it

It is costing you more, but you seem okay with that so no worries. My TA answers email immediately and if off, another agent replies. She has even responded while on a cruise.

lol, okay so I am chilled but I live and learn, so Royal Caribbean and the Agent I dealt with are not on my horizon any longer. I know no loss to them, also no problem to me.  I know I am a conservative shopper but I also recommend reasonably priced options. I am evaluating my options and I don't see a reason to waste money whether I can afford it or not - matter of principal, so for them cheating me out of my price-adjustment goes against my principals. I drive a Suzuki Vitara because I don't see the value in driving a Landrover (just an island-thing).

All I said was..."Hi, I think our cruise fare has just been reduced so I'd like an adjustment please."  Voila, $600 richer!  Yeah, I was stunned it was that much.  So thanks to Merion Mom! The Wonder cruise had indeed gone up.  I typically book a year or more in advance to get the best rate.  For some reason, some cruises like our December Odyssey had gone down and it may be cabin category sensitive too.  I guess we were extremely lucky. BUt I'm going to be checking the Wonder cruise at about the same time frame as Odyssey...maybe 3 or 4 months out and before final payment.

GS's for our family cruise on Wonder next June dropped over $600 since my generous FIL booked them 2 weeks ago. Saved him almost $1900 across the 3 cabins today.

I figure the least I can do is be the family "price checker." 😁

Yeah, there are some crazy good deals still out there. I'm surprised how much ours has dropped on certain dates, so I'm waiting for another drop on our specific date so I can call again. It will have gone down by almost $300/person from when I booked based on what they have for the sailing after ours. I've noticed their pattern is to have that sailing price out for a few days to a week before it shows up on our date. Fingers crossed for another drop! 🙂 I think like you said it seems to be cabin and sailing specific - balcony and suite prices on our sailing haven't dropped quite as much as our interior. This will be a long December holiday cruise, so I suspect they're not getting enough families and guests as they choose shorter big-ship cruises around the holidays.

Less than 24 hours later... saved the fam another $263 per cabin for nearly another $800 total.

There are LOTS of prices dropping like iron anvils right now.  I am not going to make a list of specific sailings; just check all of yours

I just went on to RC's site for my August sailing on Explorer OTS to see what I could find.  I just saved $874.81 on my already paid for cruise so it looks like OBC will be coming.  Thanks.

Me too, within 36 hours I had 3 price drops. I had one Wednesday night, one Thursday morning, and another one Thursday night, (and a 4th one a week or so ago) for a total of $466 (for one ocean view balcony cabin for 2 people).

There are just certain times, some last less that a day, when prices seem to drop. Nice job,

I have booked 3 cabins and the price drop had been about $ 700 on 2 of them about $ 300 on one. Have fully paid and have called my TA 3 times now and they said they had sent a request to RCI and are awaiting response. When I called yesterday I had been told that I will hear from RCI before end of the day yesterday. NOTHING. That is a lot of money I am losing here, since I am the one paying. Have also already prepaid for all the excursions. Just now finished booking excursions for a WC with Costa and their prices for some of the same excursions are lower then RCI. Not happy with Royal Caribbean at all! Just sent them a message but not holding my breath. Had previously contacted them concerning check-in and never heard back from them.

I had paid in full too and called my TA today and she got the monies back for me; in the form of a cruise credit but that's to be expected.  And, I just looked on my cruise planner and sure enough, it's there for me to use on my August cruise.

I am so glad that I read this post.  I repriced two cruises, Quantum of the Seas Alaska cruise next month (no change) and Explorer of the Seas Western Caribbean Cruise in early November (2022) and we saved $764.95 and upgraded from a regular ocean view mid ship room to a spacious balcony mid ship room.  My husband didn't believe me!  This is only our third cruise and we have repriced and saved on two out of the three.  I thought for sure that I would be in for a long hold but I was all done in only 19 minutes.  Good luck to all you cruise critics!

So just need a clarification.  If you've paid your final balance for your cruise and you see that the price has been reduced - can you ask for an OBC for the difference?

Paying your final balance isnt the same as the final payment date. 90 days before for 7 days is the cut off line. If you paid early they will refund.

I will be checking almost daily for my Wonder cruise next year.  I have little hope because she is the newest ship, but I'm going to be vigilant!

Prices were quite high compared to what I'm used to for Oasis-class out of PC in June and have come down over the past few months. Worth checking for sure.

I thought similarly for my cruise because it's a holiday sailing, which is usually sold at a premium and sells out. But I've gotten 4 price drops so far, and my cruise is 5 months away still.

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I have actually had my TA re-price for less than that. A lot less. 😳 I did say to her to only do it if she had nothing better to do at the time, but still. I cringe now whenever I think of it. 😄
