One day short of diamond level - any ideas?

We are sailing in October and are just one day short of having enough sailing days to reach the crown and anchor diamond level.   Does anyone know of a way to earn a day prior to our trip, while still at home, or can you only earn days by sailing?   I believe some of the other cruise lines offer ways to earn credit while at home, but wasn’t sure about Royal…

Exactly what everyone else has said. We are 79 points as well and will likely book a 2 or 3 night prior to our December 8 night to enjoy the benefits! If you have the flexibility and can find something reasonable to you, then go for it! If not, enjoy the Diamond status on the following cruise!

This is when it is helpful to live within a couple hours of a port - just book a 3-day between now and then.

Did this years ago. Booked 3 night cruise and got us to Diamond for our later booked 7 night cruise. Loved my very dark inside cabin which my DW refuses to sleep in due to claustrophobia. Really helped that port canaveral is 25 minutes from home. I walkd all over Coco Cay before it became the amusement park it now is. A bit strange cruising alone though.

There is not short cut or quick fix.  Book a 2-3 night and call it done.

Similar thread a couple weeks ago in jest, someone suggested he get married before his oct cruise lol. Only way I know of without cruising.

We hit Pinnacle on our next cruise and it is because we did a 3 nighter recently.  We would have been at 698 points and it killed me not to be able to hit "P".  For me, it was an easy fix as they don't offer extra bonus points like Celebrity does.  Living in Florida helped a lot too!!!!

Enjoy your final cruise as Emerald and then look forward to the next cruise as Diamond.

Put the pencil to it.  Figure out the dollar value of your Diamond benefits for the next cruise and compare that to the cost of an additional short cruise to break the threshold. It may not be worth it.

This is a statement from someone thinking logical.

I'm in the same spot.  For my October cruise, I'll start off with 79 points.  I then booked a cruise for December.   I'll be Diamond for that cruise.

A 2-3 night cruise will be very expensive due to flight costs.

Book a 2-3night in front to of your longer cruise to make it a b2b & use the same flights

Do you get any casino offers?  We sailed for Spring Break and have another sailing next week.  Right after spring break we realized we were 3 nights short of diamond plus....and the casino gave us a free Jr Suite on enchantment to Bermuda for a 5 day trip that we could make work since it included a sat and a sunday.....BOOM....now we are diamond plus for a 7 night cruise to Alaska next week.

Do a B2B.  Make sure you find and tell the Loyalty Ambassador about your situation, and then on the second leg, he or she should be able to get you the right card and benefits.  I did that going from D to D+.  Don't go through Guest Services BTW.

Thanks everyone for all the great advice.  Looks like we are not the only ones in this situation.  It doesn’t seem like we will have a good opportunity for a short cruise out of Bayonne before October so I guess we will just have to wait a little longer until we are diamond.  Greatly appreciate all the help from this great community.
