Happy Birthday to @JazzyV and Happy Anniversary to @Cruzin Terri.

Healing thoughts to all those with medical issues.

We are back from out 14 day Alaska cruise - we both have colds - no Covid, and hopefully will feel better soon.

@Nickelpenny glad the weather has improved. When we left the ship on Sunday they said they were turning off the hot water due to an issue with it and would be fixing it during that day. Sorry to hear it wasn't working for you.

Safe travels to all that are cruising.  And wow about canceling flights. We were lucky that though our flights were delayed we managed to make all our connections, though on our flight from FLL to Lax with our connection to Vancouver we literally walked from one flight right onto the next one since we were delayed and then sat on the tarmac since there was no gate available to us.  Flying is no fun at all anymore but it has to be done if we want to travel.

Well then that may explain it. Were you toward the front of the ship?  My steward told me his colleague on 5 forward said they had no hot water and someone on my deck (6) said the same. Hmmmmm.

Good sunny and warm afternoon. Summer is back for 1 more day, still warm tomorrow and then it is over.

I’m so happy that all the travel issues have been resolved for all our friends.
@Crazy For Cats, safe travels down to here . Green Dragon has changed a lot over the years

Shafy Maple is waiting for you.

Blessings and prayers to all on our lists.

We were way towards the back on deck 7 - the entire ship received a notification on Saturday night that there would be no hot water after 8:30 AM on Sunday due to an issue with the hot water.  It seems that they weren't able to fix the issue during Sunday's change over in Vancouver.  We had hot water the entire trip.

Dang it! "Dam" it! Dog gone it!! Another change in our American Airlines reservation! They pulled us apart again. Row 4 and 8. Had to call again to say we can't be separated. Changed our seats to row 4, but someone between us. The flight was NOT cheap from Austin to FLL RT.

Pumpkin spice in many things is already too much, but pumpkin deviled eggs.  🎃 😈 🥚 I think not.

In some products it's just the spices, not any pumpkin. OTOH....

I wonder how long before stores begin offering pumpkin-spiced kale.

Joy, that is getting beyond ridiculous.  I hope they can make another change and get you seated together, without a stranger between you two.

Paul, perish the thought of pumpkin-spiced kale.  Both are bad enough alone.  The deviled eggs called for pumpkin puree.  If I say anything else, I could get in trouble.

Good Evening, thanks for today’s daily fleet report.  It’s been a beautiful day today.  I saw a curb alert where someone put out stuff for grabs.  They showed a picture of a small table that was close to what I wanted for a plant.  I got it, we will clean it up and probably paint it.  Work has been crazy busy and I’m wishing I could join the group that is retiring.

@JazzyV Happy Birthday, @Cruzin Terri Happy Anniversary.

@1ANGELCAT sad to say I cancelled my trip down to PA. Yesterday I started to come down with something and this morning I felt worse.  I don’t want to give anything to my 85 year old mother.  We are planning on going down for Thanksgiving so I may add Green Dragon to the agenda.

I worked with my PCC today and secured a B2B on the Zuiderdam for next August.
I hope everyone has a good rest of the day.

I would think a stranger will be very happy to take the window and let you and Ellen have the middle and I’ll seats.

I think Captain said he would turn near the cargo pier.  Back in my room.  Too cold and windy on deck.

Sorry, cut off mid post!

@0106 yikes on the cancellation, but glad you got another flight in PE! Safe travels!

@marshhawkglad you liked the photo of the springs,  it’s A lovely spot.

@AroundWithMAPTravels welcome!  Love your name and maps!

@St Pete Cruiser safe travels!  Sometimes smaller airports are nice!

My DH loves the Greek frappes, pretty much just instant Nescafé

We have enjoyed Nice on several trips and are fortunate to have friends there.

I am very late posting this because I was fighting and struggling with my iMac after I had this all prepared earlier this morning to show you our very nice day in Villefranche .

We visited Villefranche-sur-Mer a couple of times in the spring and again in the fall of 2022 , in May while on the Nieuw Statendam I had booked a small group tour with 7 of us to go from there to a few Perched Medieval Villages of the Alps because in earlier years we already had been a few times to Cannes , Nice and also a number of times to Monaco .

After tendering into Port we met up with what worked out to be our wonderful guide Fouad who showed us the beauty of this area

Well, dang...late in the day and I'll have to go back to read everything.  But...late Happy Birthday @JazzyVVanessa and THANK YOU for all you do here.  Happy Anniversary to @Cruzin Terri and your DH.  And, big welcome to @Smmessineo.  This is a very nice daily thread.

I've been following @rafinmd on the Cunard thread, but had to switch to Crystal because the Cunarders are too darn chatty.  I mostly want to hear what Roy has to say!

Tomorrow I'm going to Los Angeles to babysit for DD and DSIL and then we are going to Disneyland to shake off a month or two of stressful events -- sick babies, me with weird covid legs, DGS having difficulties.

Some problems will never go away, but mixing in joy always helps!

Have a great evening, everyone, and thanks to all who keep our Daily going strong.

Susan, in 2020 when the lockdown started I was really into cooking and that lasted until sometime last year.  Now, it's usually really easy meals with an occasional more involved meal.

It was hard to get into cooking when I was just cooking for one, but I did make some more complicated dishes and then ate them for the next two weeks.  I remember making the famous Tomato Pie.

Debbie, I'm convert to Aspercreme.  For years I didn't think it would work since Salonpas did work when it first came out.  I tried Aspercreme when I hurt my knee last year, and I'm a convert.

Aspercreme is my #1.  I use a licocaine patch or Salonpas for my back if I'm going to be doing active things.

You would have needed to anyway since the Cunard part of the voyage is almost finished and then it will be just the Crystal thread.

@JazzyV soon (perhaps as early as tomorrow my entry should be something like "Crystal Serenity to 10/13 (Quebec to New York)"

Good evening.  Finally, I think I've caught up with all I let slide the past week.  Hopefully, tomorrow will be an easier day.  A few calm, relaxing days would be nice.  One can always hope.
