time4u2go Posted November 13, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 13, 2023 Deck 6 for sure! You are within two of decks of SO MANY things.
CajunCpl Posted November 13, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted November 13, 2023 Thanks biker, since last, she's decided deck 3 may be the one, cabins 3640's or 50's, any comments on any of those from anyone?
Rare OCSC Mike Posted November 13, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 13, 2023 Deck location is a personal preference thing. Deck 3 is the last place I would want to be... way too far from the higher decks where I spend a good deal of time. I prefer something like deck 9 or 10 so I'm not that far from either going up to the pool deck or down to the Promenade. I avoid elevators whenever possible. For you. deck 3 may be appealing.
trihawks1 Posted November 13, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 13, 2023 Deck 8 is our favorite bc of Central Park. Deck 6 would be good too but we book balcony cabins…so Deck 8 or higher is best for balcony.

reallyitsmema Posted November 13, 2023 #8 Share Posted November 13, 2023 Deck 6 is our go to deck on Oasis class ships. If we can't get that, we will take either deck 8 or deck 7.

firefly333 Posted November 13, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 13, 2023 I just did deck 11, near the diamond or crown lounge. Wanted a fast cup of coffee in the morning.

jbrinkm Posted November 13, 2023 #13 Share Posted November 13, 2023 We loved 9 because of the little balconies overlooking Central Park. And upper access to Dazzles. It was convenient and quiet. We had aft - but close to center - rooms.

RG306 Posted November 13, 2023 #15 Share Posted November 13, 2023 deck 8 is our pick for oasis class. hallways are long, we enjoy being able to walk through central park instead.

Rare island lady Posted November 13, 2023 #17 Share Posted November 13, 2023 I always stay away from 14...right under the pool deck...noisy. Decks 10-12 a fav.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted November 13, 2023 #18 Share Posted November 13, 2023 Our cabin on Deck 8 was perfect. Close to the entrance of Central Park, quiet and we never had to wait for an elevator.
neverbeenhere Posted November 13, 2023 #19 Share Posted November 13, 2023 If you can get it, deck one or two are quite nice. You may be required to do a bit of work to get one of these staterooms.

My parents booked to go with us, but did it late and prices were high so they did a GTY oceanview and had their room assigned to floor 3. I am a little worried about crowds and noise for them. Access to the theater is on deck 4 and 5, so you would not have crowd traffic from that venue. Access to the cabin corridors is from the elevator lobbies, so as long as they are down the corridor a bit, I wouldn't worry about it.

No, when I check on the Royal site (booked via TA) there is only deck 3 available for ocean view. I did move them down the hall via our TA once the room was assigned but no other floors were available (and only a scattering left on floor 3 - I felt lucky that we were able to move them towards the center a bit! 1 hour ago, reallyitsmema said: Access to the theater is on deck 4 and 5, so you would not have crowd traffic from that venue. I thought I remembered going to something on the other end of deck 3 when we were on Allure - maybe the ice skating? I guess I could check the floor plan 😂 I may try to bid on a Royal Up for them just to see if we could get them a slightly better room, but it is good to know that if we don't get it, that their room shouldn't be too bad...
