We haven't done LB for quite some time, tonight, we're pleasantly surprised with good food, excellent services and treated to a complimentary wine & bubbles tasting after dinner, before dessert topped off with French press coffee.

Our niece drank the most, oops, I should say she sampled them all for me & the rest 😁😸🫢.  Then, she's off to catch up with other friends to party & dance away.

Your niece is an elite coffee drinker! If I had a mere cup of coffee with dinner, I'd be up for hours...and I don't want anything to come in between me and my bedtime at 9 PM. Oh, my younger self would be pi$$ed with me now...he who did all nighters constantly until I got married and hit 35!

I'm glad the food was yum!!

How were the lines for Rumors? We waited one hour in line on the Escape for standing room ( actually hanging over table) I swear I saw people eating their buffet supper in line.  Rock the Pour House on our late sailing was empty. And their last show at the end was also a walk in for a fair seat.

We joined line at about 615 with friends

Stood 45min.

waited in seats 45 min

Show 45 min

I did bring our cheese plate from our cabin but no food allowed in venue so after a few bites in the hall, took it to leave in neighboring bar.

others here on CC had been in line prior to 6 to get prime seats center high top.

@Sugar Magnolia sorry to miss you and the posse…

what’s the plan tonight…another sea day Tom….though we lose an hour again tonight

While at the start of the pub crawl (special thanks to @Taxvp for coordinating) @Fogfog and @mking8288 mentioned that there is an active leak coming from the Local bar, so a crew member has been standing with a mop at the ready.

And in case there are any nonbelievers…

We have all been thinking of you.

I wonder if I can get a plaque with an outline of my face plant on the floor right there to commemorate my lack of decorum?  Looks like it could be an ongoing issue at that particular place.

While we spent plenty of time at The Local, now wore off, check post 486 where TV screen aft of bar shows banner of race cars with MSC MSC MSC.

@mking8288...I have not had a "good" meal at LeBistro in all my sailings.  I know I'm way in the minority on that.  Have to say, your meal looks exceptional, though.  Glad you really liked it.

I agree with you. I have never had anything worthwhile from LeBistro

Good morning  🌅 as we sailed toward Iceland & North Sea at 13 kts. and outside air temp of 39 deg. F.

A little bit of sun behind the clouds in the distance to our east.

Hot running water out of the bathroom faucet is back now - yay.  We heard several loud pipe noises late night, around 12:30 AM 🤔

Our big load of free laundry came back this morning, neatly folded & stacked tall in the wicker basket. 👍

That is not in the same order as you put in the bag.

Haha

well under that myself.

though the avg age is pretty high for certain.

We have had 2 great le Bistro meals before and 1 horrendous Cagneys that we’d never go back…other ships.

Palomar here was great.

We are in Le Bistro Tom. If it disappoints, we will move the other res to Palomar.

Dan, we've steered clear of LB for quite some time now.  Last night's dining experience was very good, services from our server that put her close to fitting being consider one of our vacation hero for this cruise.

As for the issues with The Local ... let's wait & see.

Dan, would you like Sylvia and me to submit a formal nomination or request to Marc, or at least obtain a certification on your behalf?  😆😂😉

Risk management probably say otherwise.

0The Local - went there for a late, light lunch as the buffet was still packed full, wall-to-wall, chair-against-chair with people everywhere, Palomar and Food Republic both used for extra seating capacity, since the outdoor buffet area remained unusable due to the cool weather.

There is a wait of 20 to 30 minutes and given a pager. We split up into 2 tables of 2 each, and the trick worked - there are fewer large tables. Indoor space is just too small for a cold water ship.

Asking for wings without sauce - it's more edible for our taste.  Nearly everything has been downsized but for the large coffee cup 😳

There are more available seating on the "smaller" NCL ships like the Jewel, Crown, Dawn or Gem than the Prima when it comes to "The Local" or O'Sheehan's

Sir, you got sharp eyes and spotted that, hats off to you, hahaha.  Isn't that kind of like foot-in-the-mouth.

There are far more "younger" people onboard the Prima doing the TA, including some teenagers and definitely college age for the 15 Days TA.

Laundry returned to us, stacked high on the basket - worth up to $110 if they itemized the count & billed by the pieces, free ... not going to "insist" that they are in the correct sequence.  We'll do another load early next week so we'll disembark with some clean clothes.   Who wants to hand wash theirs on a cruise vacation ... not us.  Unbelievable that the Prima is still using the small paper bag, perhaps they are going to exhaust them while unused bags are available, to sail & sustain & not waste them, LOL.

Oddly enough, while the serving plates used in The Local are smaller across the board, the coffee "mug" used are bigger, with a 10 oz or 12 oz capacity (same size as the soup bowl) ... and they no longer leave a pot of hot coffee for DIY.

I shall lobby NCL HQ for some kind of commemoration, but I think it should be an outline of your body on the floor after your fall. Henry and I will discuss.

Le Bistro is my least favorite but Platinum AmEx buys dinner for me and a buddy so I will try it again tonight.

... Palomar here was great.  We are in Le Bistro Tom. If it disappoints, we will move to ...

Had lunch with our friends A & M this morning, their specialty dining onboard the Prima thus far has been good & positive.  They also noticed that botn Hauski & Nami are, thus far, pretty empty every evening and not even 1/2 full ... I wonder why too.

We like Palomar & moved one of the other SD to do them again next Monday, come join us and/or maybe we will informally declare that to be a CC night at Palomar - and ask whether or not Marc wish to come by to listen to some of the common issues identified by multiple "seasonsed" CC members (Sapphire & Diamond)

Seeing that @Sugar Magnolia the party girl is ready for another late night action - I should pass along a tip from A&M that, the hostess & assistant managers at The Commodore do recognize and appreciated the patronage of higher tiered Latitudes members (Platinum & above) and will resect & honor request for priority seating there.  I can vouch for that, as we were there 2 nights ago and were promptly seated ... plus, the asst. manager does indeed make an effort to chat with those of us dining there.

UNLIKE, the Hudson MDR where none of them wanted to be do what's expected of them - unless, you started out by filling out one of the blue "Comment Card" and pull out a pen to start writing.

A&M also shared with us, the hostess & greeters at the Hudson MDR entrance apparently, up until now, are ignorant and disregard the different tiers of Latitudes member and refused to honor request for priority restaurant seating in the Hudson.  They spoke with one of the "striped" managerial NCL staffer on the first night, and was promised to look into the matter & get it corrected ... let's see if we notice anything different over the remainder of the cruise.

Forgot to mention, hot running water is back this afternoon.

Got the hot water & coffee station set-up in the stateroom just in case ... while getting water from the buffet, noticed that multiple "violations" of improperly filling up personal water bottles - yike 😤

Why can't NCL add these 😯

Surely/Shirley you can't be serious. Le Bistro is consistently one of our favorite NCL dining venues. Been four times...had Filet four times. Delighted four times. As I've so astutely pointed out in previous posts, if you want a great steak, go to Le Bistro. After all, Filet Mignon is French.

Just be sure to get it without that goose liver crapola on top.
