Live from the Grandeur by a Newbie to RSSC
The final zip on the last suitcase has been secured and all bags loaded into the car.  My wife and I will be boarding the Grandeur tomorrow for her next leg to the Southern Caribbean.  We fully anticipate being spoiled on the first two days as we make our way to the first shopping port,  Aruba.

As this will be our rookie sailing with Regent I will be sharing our thoughts and photos along the way.

It’s been almost 8 months since I’ve been on a Carnival Cruise ship. Apart from the COVID shutdown, that’s the longest I’ve gone between Carnival cruises since the year between my first and second cruises.

For those who haven’t followed it, I have been on a NCL ship and a Princess ship in the past six months.
I am finding that NCL is consistently the best value for me and Princess is frequently a better value than Carnival. Four of the last five cruises I’ve booked have not been with Carnival.

JamieLogical's Live from the MSC Divina 2/11
For this cruise, I will be sailing with my husband on the Divina out of Miami. It will be our first time on the Divina or any MSC ship besides the Meraviglia, for that matter. We are flying down in the EARLY morning on Saturday, the 10th. I am hopeful that our hotel will let us drop our bags off and store them there in the morning, since check-in isn't until the afternoon. We'd like to have the freedom to explore Miami a bit. Despite having sailed out of Miami many times, we usually fly in late the night before our cruise, head straight to the hotel to crash, and then head straight to the cruise terminal the next morning.

Hopefully live from Harmony! 2/4 - 2/11
Hey, y'all! I don't normally do lives because, frankly, I am terribly selfish and just want to enjoy my cruise. But this time, I'm sailing without my husband and with a big group of my extended family that are all guaranteed to be in bed before me. So, I'm going to try to spend my wee hours cuddled up in the inside cabin I'll have all to myself sharing my thoughts on this cruise and answering as many of your questions as I can. I'm all packed and just have one more sleep before my mom pops by to pick me up on our way down to Galveston.

Live and Solo: B2B on Oasis Feb 4 - 18, a Running report
Quick background on the cruise: made some new friends on the Allure last year who talked up cruising around Super Bowl.  They make it sounds pretty cool, and they had the Feb 11 Oasis cruise already booked. That Allure cruise was seven days and felt like I really didn't get to experience the ship, so ended up booking two weeks - this is not my first B2B, but first time was able to get the same cabin for both legs. Unfortunately, my friends ended up having to cancel but I'm sure I'll still have a great time.

Live from Regal 2/4/24
After enjoying so many Live reports, I thought I’d try my hand.  This is our 10th Princess cruise so we’re somewhat seasoned cruisers. First cruise from Galveston though so there was a learning curve

Did another thing we’ve never done-fly in the day of embarkation.

ALSO Live on the Discovery 2/3-2/10/24 Mexican Riviera
I know @sonomaphilwill probably do a much better job than I will; but I’d like to offer a different perspective.
This will be my first Solo cruise as well as my first Platinum cruise.
Definitely not the first Mexican Riviera run…this will be number 9 (live in Central Valley of California, so..we ain’t got much choice here, haha)
Originally this was a casino “free” interior cruise; but I bid on a Obstructed Balcony upgrade for $100p/p…but Princess countered with $130p/p for a Deluxe Obstructed Balcony…so I bit..I knew I had a 1/6 chance of getting a “bad” one (aka: in the VERRRY front of the ship)..well…I got a “bad” one..it is what it is..dunno if I get seasick as we’re always midship.

Constellation live: 2/10/24 - 2/22/24 12 Night New Orleans & The Caribbean (aka Mardi Gras Cruise)
Anyway about me, I'm Jeannette I'm from the UK but I live in Canada. I live pretty much on the US border with Detroit so I sometimes fly from there depending on where I am going and what's a better deal for flights. I'm 42, married with no kids but 4 dogs so depending on how you look at it I have either 4 or 5 kids 😉
I travel solo as we don't have anyone to look after the dogs - four dogs would cost a fortune to board as my husband likes staying home it works out. I

Wednesday, February 7 - We’ve started on our Viking Mekong adventure.  We have already arrived in Bangkok for our pre cruise extension, starting in two days. We always like to come early to get over jet lag.  Since we arrived in Bangkok near midnight, we were ready to go to bed immediately.  I think that has really helped with the jet lag since I feel great today.  I did take one melatonin before going to sleep so I think that helped me to sleep soundly until the alarm rang this morning.  Our flights over (Seattle to Inchon and Inchon to Bangkok) were both delayed, but they build so much time into flight schedules these days, that we still arrived on time or early on both flights.  T

We will be going on the Oasis on the February 4th Eastern Caribbean and Perfect Day cruise. At CocoCay we will be having a Hideout Cabana in the new Hideaway Beach, not sure what to expect yet, but we're very excited!

(attempt at!) Live/semi-Live - 1st time HAL cruiser - Westerdam Hong Kong to Tokyo
Hello all, I thought maybe, perhaps, one or two people might be interested in a “live blog” (at least, an attempt at) from an inexperienced cruiser, and first time cruiser on HAL. I’m an experienced traveller - by plane, land, bus, train, ferry - but not so much cruising!

I did my first cruise in 2015 when I won it in a competition. It was an 8 night Carnival Spirit cruise from Sydney to the South Pacific Islands. I liked it so much I did two more, and then did a transatlantic on NCL Epic in 2019. So it’s been five years!

Post in Live from the Koningsdam 1-30-24 RT Hawaii
So we are at sea now, the ship sailed late, not sure why, but it was right at sunset that we moved away from the dock.  We wanted to see the presentations - Origins, which is the Holland America Story, and it was very entertaining.

The walk over from the hotel was easy, 1 block downhill to the waterfront and about three blocks of so to the cruise terminal.  Cheryl stopped and shot some video and took pictures as we went along.  We passed the San Diego Maritime Museum, which looked interesting and at least partly accessible.

Reflection LIVE 2/3/24-2/11/24: 8 Crazy Nights of ABC Islands
Hi CC!

Well, it’s been a little under 4 months since my husband Jeremy and I wrapped up our incredible 2 week Mediterranean adventure on Beyond, but with everything we’ve gone through in life since then, it feels more like 4 years.

After surviving a hectic end of year for both of us at work and a tragic loss in our family over the holidays, we found ourselves in a deep funk that we’ve been struggling to shake.  We decided what maybe what we need to reset is to get away asap for a week of sun and sea!

LIVE-Prima Feb 2-9, 2024 from Galveston-Western Caribbean with PICs, Haven (HE)

I have been sailing solo for a little while.  Have a (on again, off again, on again) GF.  We're on, again.  Issue has always been, I'm retired.  She's not.  She also lives two states away.  That's been the crux of our issues. So, I can go whenever I want.  She can not.  Given the holidays, she's been able to use up vacation time.  But, for her, the vacation clock resets in the New Year.

Jewel of the Seas - Jan 27 - Feb 3, 2024 - Live Review
Hola, Puerto Rico!!! In anticipation of our multi-island cruise, we thought we'd kick start with an early visit to beautiful Puerto Rico. Last time we were here, there was a hurricane in the area so we were limited in activities. In fact, the bars weren't even serving drinks (ya, it was very sad!) So this time we're taking advantage of the non-huricane season and spending a couple days in the sunshine.

Now that the Super Bowl teams have been decided - 49'ers vs Chiefs (a repeat from the SB a few years ago!) I thought I'd just get my LIVE started, although it'll be mostly dormant for the next two weeks.

Sailaway is at 4pm and the game will start a few hours after that so I expect to be sandwiched in the Sports Bar on The Venezia unless the game is showing on the tv's in the casino which usually provides a better viewing opportunity.

Taking a getaway on the Breakaway - Almost live, maybe....
I'm going to do my best to do a live review but live and margheritas may get in the way.

We booked this cruise (Wife and myself) over a year ago, for us it was a steal, inside room (boo), Free at Sea including BOGO airfare. With the military discount it came out to $2100 which I think is a great value. The travel agent also tossed in $50 OBC and paid the DSC. Just like our Epic cruise last year this will be over our anniversary.

Another Live from the Oosterdam? 1/29-2/20
I am so greatlful to @NorbertsNiece @Btimmer and @TravelBluebird that I thought I would add my insights to the same cruise itinerary. Their pictures are fantastic; my pictures will be minimal and taken with my cell phone.  Their commentary was detailed and on all aspects of the ship; my comments will focus on the daily activities and tours.  Their food pictures made my mouth water; I usually forget to take pictures until after I finish eating.  I will attempt not to repeat what you have already read.  Feel free to ask questions.  Here goes…

Live - MSC seascape from Miami 27 Jan
Been in Miami since yesterday. Staying in a nice hotel in South Beach - The Breakwater. Really enjoying Miami and the weather so far, makes a welcome change from UK.
Keep hearing the Seascape is experiencing choppy waters so hoping that we'll avoid it.
Bit shocked by the prices of food and drinks so far but appreciate we're in a really touristy area.

Semi Live from Celebrity Eclipse - Antarctica 14 nights from Buenos Aires
Hello everyone!

This is our 2nd cruise and first with Celebrity so we are pretty much newbies and have nothing to compare our cruise experience with, so it’s going to be super subjective 🙂

I couldn’t find much info about this particular cruise so starting a thread with pictures and thoughts for people who research it.

We spent a week in Buenos Aires before embarkation — such a beautiful city with colonial architecture, great food and variety of things to do. 3-4 days should be enough to experience it all and we generally felt safe there just by using common sense.

Live From Celebrity Reflection: 6 Day Caribbean 1/28-2/3/24
Hello everyone!

I'm getting ready to sail out for another adventure on Sunday and I plan to do a live review of my time on board. This time I will be sailing on the Celebrity Reflection for six days. After two of my last three trips were 26, and 56 days, this cruise is going to fly by in the blink of an eye, but I am excited for a little mini adventure none the less.

LIVE – Ascent B2B 1/27/2024 - 2/11/2024 - Live Blog, Cat Blog, Vlog!
Good Evening.

It’s been a year since our last Celebrity Cruise, and it’s been 10 years since we first started cruising, so we figured why not get around to doing something we haven’t before and book a back to back on the Ascent. No more getting marginally depressed on the Thursday during the cruise – now we get to remain on-board and greet the next cruise’s arriving guests – presumably standing in the middle of the pool wearing a top hat.

LIVE from the ENCORE- Jan 28-Feb 4th
We are sitting in the boarding area waiting to embark on the lovely Encore for a whirl around the Caribbean.

We just debarked from the Carnival Celebration and dragged our luggage down the pier. This port is a total cluster with the marathon. According to our celebration group page, it took 2 hours to get an Uber and another 90 minutes to get to the airport. I believe it.
