Lets see how Omicron continues for next couple of weeks. If South Africa is anything to go by, numbers in the UK should start dropping this week, next at the latest.
Rare Solent Richard Posted January 8, 2022 Author #152 Share Posted January 8, 2022 Just picked this Queen Victoria sitrep up from a friend earlier today We were transferred to QV yesterday from Azura … we both tested positive on 4th and now isolation for 10 days. The QV as some else said is isolation ship for Carnival Cruise Lines so all ships covered … Barbados isolation hotels not taking Covid cases from cruise ships … once people have been transferred to QV we are heading back to Barbados passengers that have completed 10 days and test negative will disembark to fly home the QV will anchor in the bay until the next rescue mission … we’ll don’t P&O/Carnival doing a great job especially as it’s a fast moving situation .. QV are a little disorganised but we are safe and being fed and can get fresh air …hope this is informative Well done Carnival: we, oh so often, just don't know what is going on behind the scenes.

Rare 2BACRUISER Posted January 11, 2022 #154 Share Posted January 11, 2022 Been looking at QV voyages for this summers European season, do you think her being a quarantine/hospital ship will impact on the start of her summer itineraries, she's gonna need one helluva super dooper clean down. I thought I read somewhere she was going for a mini refurbishment anyway??
bluemarble Posted March 28, 2022 #155 Share Posted March 28, 2022 (edited) Perhaps it's time to start paying a bit more attention to QV's location. It shouldn't be too much longer until she starts heading back to Southampton. If the Southampton VTS cruise ship schedule is to be believed, she is due back in Southampton on April 5th. Anyway, QV has been in Saint John's, Antigua today. Here is a capture from earlier this afternoon taken from the King's Casino, Antigua webcam found at "www.kingscasino.com/web-cam". I'm posting this image here with the kind permission of King's Casino. Edited March 28, 2022 by bluemarble

In any case she would be hard pressed 2 b back Southampton by 5th April. She going to dry dock before 1st cruise in early June.

bluemarble Posted March 29, 2022 #160 Share Posted March 29, 2022 QV is now getting underway from Saint John's, Antigua. Destination indicated as Tyne as @sogne has mentioned (now indicating 0945 on April 10th as the estimated arrival time).
bluemarble Posted April 10, 2022 #161 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Time to update this thread. QV arrived at Tyne (North Shields) this morning. Here's an article I found on the Chronicle Live website. Ray66 Posted April 26, 2022 #163 Share Posted April 26, 2022 (edited) The QV today was apparently on standby in case support was needed for a P&O ferry which lost power in the Irish Sea. A photo with both ships on the BBC website. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-61229753 oops - just seen Bluemarble's post about the same news. We must have posted at the same time. bluemarble Posted June 1, 2022 #164 Share Posted June 1, 2022 Here's a view of QV arriving at Southampton this evening after her long deployment as a support vessel in the Caribbean and her recent drydock at Harland & Wolff in Belfast. bluemarble Posted June 5, 2022 #166 Share Posted June 5, 2022 (edited) Unfortunately It hasn't been the best day for clear webcam views. But I think this occasion certainly deserves posting a webcam capture anyway. QV's departure from Southampton today marks the first time in 801 days that QV has sailed with paying passengers. The entire Cunard fleet is now back in operation. Here is a capture from the Cruise Cam stream on the Solent Ships YouTube channel. bluemarble Posted June 25, 2022 #167 Share Posted June 25, 2022 QV is in Visby, Sweden today. Here is a webcam capture showing QV shortly after she arrived a few hours ago. This image was captured from the Kryssningskajen camera hosted by webbkameror.se in collaboration with CMP (Copenhagen Malmö Port). The webcam is found at "www.webbkameror.se/webbkameror/kryssningskajen/kryssningskajen_1_1280.php". I am posting this image with the kind permission of webbkameror.se. Silver Moon has also arrived in port partially blocking QV in the current webcam view, so I went back through the image archives to find this earlier view from 7 AM local time showing only QV.
bluemarble Posted June 26, 2022 #168 Share Posted June 26, 2022 Today QV is in Stockholm, Sweden. Here is a capture from another of the webcams hosted by webbkameror.se. This one is from their "Stockholms inlopp 1" webcam found at "www.webbkameror.se/webbkameror/stockholmsinlopp/stockholmsinlopp_1_1280.php". It offers a view from the Danvikshem retirement home towards Gamla Stan and Stadsgården. It shows QV docked at the Masthamnen terminal at Stadsgården berth 167. Peeking out from behind QV is the cruiseferry Gabriella.

bluemarble Posted June 26, 2022 #170 Share Posted June 26, 2022 Here's a closer view of QV today, this one as she departed Stockholm a few minutes ago. This is from another one of the many webcams hosted by webbkameror.se. It's from their "Stockholms inlopp 2" webcam found at "www.webbkameror.se/webbkameror/stockholmsinlopp/stockholmsinlopp_2_1280.php". This offers another view from the Danvikshem retirement home, this time towards Djurgården and Waldermarsudde.

bluemarble Posted June 27, 2022 #173 Share Posted June 27, 2022 Another day, another webcam image showing QV in a Baltic port. QV is in Helsinki today. The other ship in this image is Norwegian Dawn. The early morning light from the east isn't the best but I figured I'd go ahead and post this now rather than wait for the late afternoon sun to give you plenty of time in case you would like to check out the live webcam for yourself. This is a capture from the "West Harbour T2" webcam found on the Port of Helsinki's website at "www.portofhelsinki.fi/en/port-helsinki/web-cameras/west-harbour-t2". bluemarble Posted June 27, 2022 #174 Share Posted June 27, 2022 It's just as well I didn't wait to try to capture an image of QV in the late afternoon sun. The ferry Silja Europa was blocking the view of QV the past few hours and QV is now underway from Helsinki. Next stop Tallinn where I may have a partial distant webcam view of QV to offer. Anything to keep the string going. 🙂
bluemarble Posted June 28, 2022 #175 Share Posted June 28, 2022 (edited) As promised, here is a distant partial view of QV in Tallinn, Estonia today. The three ships to the left are AIDAVita, Phoenix Reisen Amera and Queen Victoria at the cruise piers. The other two ships are Isabelle and Silja Europa at the ferry terminals. This is a capture from the Freedom Square webcam hosted by the Baltic Live Cam website "balticlivecam.com". The webcam can be found at "balticlivecam.com/cameras/estonia/tallinn/freedom-square/". I am posting this image with the kind permission of Baltic Live Cam. Edited June 28, 2022 by bluemarble
