Yes, the pictures I took where in an off shoot(cove) of the main lake I think.

 

Looks like the lake it your picture might be larger, but I really haven't seen the whole lake  here yet.

The other pics you posted were taken in landscape mode.

 

Yes took the top pic with an S10.............holding the camera the regular way...........the other 2 table pictures I took I turned the camera like landscape.............no idea why the bag picture turned on it's side though......I have used the S10 to take plenty of pictures on here holding the phone they same way and they were never like that on their side when I post on here.......That was like the first time ever posted one sideways.

OK, I just attempted to load a photo taken with the new phone and one from the old S8. The S8 photo loads appropriately but the S22 photo loads sideways. What is causing this?????

I have learned that it is not a Samsung/android thing.  I took a upright pic with my Samsung phone and it was going to post sideways.  I then took one with my iPad and it is posting sideways.

 

As for your 50 mp file size, it is probably saving as a 12.5 mp.  Unless you set it differently it may be using pixel binning to safe your 50mp pic.  You may want to research it but a simple explanation is tiny pixels are combined to make bigger pixels.  You can change it to 50 mp but from the little I have read the pixel binning is as good or better and takes less space.  Here is where you can check.  With the camera on click on the [9:16] or whatever you have it set on such as [3:4].

After it opens you will see your options.  You should see [3:4] with 50 MP under it.  Until you mentioned it I did not realized that this was an option.  I have been totally satisfied with the way it has been working.

I really believe the sideways posting is a CC thing from a recent upgrade.  It doesn’t make since that an older pic is not effected.

It has to be a CC glitch due to something they changed today.  I will keep my eye out for it happening in other post.

274 days is along time to keep the act up.... It's going to be brutal I'm sure.

We have met crew members that we actually do get along with very well, friends outside of cruising for many years, and many others where it is entirely fake friendly. And they are sometimes sort of shocked when we are on for an additional week.

Amos Decker series has a new one coming out. On the request list for that.

Also just finished the #4 (Skeleton Canyon) in the Joanna Brady series from J. A. Jance. Excellent.

Same here, on our last cruise the couple on the next table we got friendly with was very interested in our servers home life and families

and that when it starts, I have a wife and 8 kids at home I send all  my money home to.......and then it just goes on from there......

In my experience during 56 cruises the vast majority of the crew are genuine when speaking about their families and sometimes are visibly upset at missing their families.

It is the service we receive that determines my extra gratuity on top of pre-paid gratuities as well as naming excellent crew members on the post cruise survey.

Dabomb isn't the Last Dab, Dabomb is # 8.................some had said that one is worse the Last Dab one, not sure I want to find out.

This is good advice for photos that will be posted online or occasionally viewed on a computer monitor.  Cruise Critic as an example will reduce the resolution of any uploaded picture, and maybe even compress it more so that it doesn't take up as much space.  A standard HD monitor is 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high, which equates to about a 2 MP image.  4K/Ultra HD monitors are 3840 X 2160 pixels, which equates to about 8.3 MP.  For reference, 50 MP is an image that's a little smaller than 6000 pixels X 9000 pixels.  Anything more than about a 10MP photo is just wasted on CC and most online web sites.  The reasons to save a picture using the full 50MP are if you want to blow up the photo to a large print size (i.e. to hang on your wall), if you want to severely crop your photo and still have a lot of resolution left, or if you want to shoot in raw format and have all of that data for post processing before saving as your final image.  In those cases, the extra pixels (and the much, MUCH larger file size associated with it) will be worth it. 

 

Just because you typically don't need to save an image at more than a 10 MP size doesn't mean it's a waste of money to have a camera that can shot at 50 MP.  Mobile phone cameras today will take all of the data from the 50 MP image sensor and do a lot of software processing on the image before saving.  This allows newer phones to have higher quality images, especially in low light.  You just rarely need to save the picture file in the full 50 MP format.

Good to hear that there's a new Amos Decker book.  I enjoy those.  I'm looking for a new series and just read the first of the Atlee Pine series by David Baldacci.  The first book was OK...not fantastic but worth a read if you want to relax and kill time.  Has anyone read the rest of this series and can tell me if it's worth buying the other books?

I met a nice woman that was doing a b2b +1 as a solo cruiser to take advantage of the double point promo.   She was getting 28 points per week which was going to make her pinnacle this week.

I heard on Saturday she failed her covid test that Saturday morning.   

We spent time with her on pool deck and other inside areas this past week.   Now Eric is exhausted and was coughing all night.   He's sleeping now but plan on doing at home tests today.

I have not read that series yet.   I always enjoy Baldacci books.

So I go away for a three day weekend with the kids, and I come back to read CC and I last read on page 2151.  

 

Guys, thats alot of catching up to do.

 

First store, then start laundry, then back here.

 

I will probably make a drink and sip and read...........better than sip and paint.
